Hey no prob. The top is a fishing line type material that you use to tie it to the antenna. I just triple tied it on real tight With knots and yes I’ve cruised to and from 3 ports at 28 mph and it hasn’t gone anywhere and I keep the antenna swept back like that all the time due to our marinas bridge. I taped it too but the tape came off after 1 run, knots hold fine and that’s what everyone does in our marina. Yes it makes a difference.

Sad bringing the boat in. Happy my son was able to come in for the weekend to help with the locks and bringing the boat out for the season...

40's and misty. We started out a couple of hours earlier since rain was coming. Got to the yacht yard, put the canvas up and it started pouring. Perfect timing.

We packed up the stuff off the boat yesterday.  Did have one last crabbing, caught just over a couple dozen.  Enough for a little crab feast, just added some burgers, kielbasa, and corn on the cob!  I will winterize this Friday.  It might actually hit 80 degrees this week and I'll be winterizing when it's in the 70s!  But, I will wax/buff the boat and get her all covered.  I'm sure the following weekend it will be in the 40s and rainy (usually is, while I'm at home chilling by the fire, glad that I winterized when it was warm).

You may be right, if these socialist take over and your taxes go to roof, fuel prices skyrocket to the moon, insurances increases 14% to 20% with 100% deductible, then your job will sail-off to china,  Ukraine, Russian, Venezuela or any communist country for cheaper labor; Due to climate change no more fuel burning so be ready to buy a banana raft like the one I use to come from Cuba to the USA to do your grilling and fishing , plus your old beautiful boat become obsolete due to emission regulation (aka catalitys); maybe you get lucky and your house or business get burned to the ground because you are pro-life meaning a fetus is a human being in earth not like a bacteria in mars for them. well you may be right and this season become your MOST SAD time of your life. Good luck to you.  Don't care..

Tucked away for the winter between an old, pristinely maintained 70's era Chris-Craft and a Rinker 270...

I got a new phone that has a wide-angle lens.  It makes my Rinker look like a 50-foot cigarette boat.

Note the two engine stands lurking under the swim platform.

Looks great @LaRea . Crazy how far forward on the bow your power plugs are installed.

Does anyone else go into withdrawal this time of year? After we put the boat away last week all I can think about is what I can do/add to the boat over the winter to make it better. And I'm already thinking about a launch date.

It really hit me today. It was three weeks ago today that the boat sold. The first couple of weeks were a sense of elation. Of course a large stack of $100 bills will do that. And not having to do all the end of season cleaning, winterizing etc. But today it really hit me as I was cleaning up and storing all the extra gear that we didn't leave on the boat. Spare buouys, lines, gear, etc. I can almost feel that rocking motion as I sit here. Thankfully the beer fridge is full.....

You now have an excuse to come south to buy another boat!   Upstate SC is a fire sale every fall, peaking before Christmas.  Get up to 50% off of what you'll pay in June.

I'm not up to speed on 260s but this seem a good deal if as well maintained as the ad states

That sounds about right. I was wondering why it only had 1 picture and 40 hours in 6 years. Stupid scammers.

She’s away for the winter, just need to take Bimini off when it dries and put on cockpit cover.

She looks clean @icoultha .  I like to wax mine each year as well before I put her away.  This year she got the royal treatment of a washing, wax, then a good buffing.  The cover is on for the winter.

Actually @Dream_Inn she’s like that from regular washing and good spring buff and polish. The yard power washes hull and I still have the scum line to wipe out with acid on a rag. The buff up will come in spring.

And looking at her now I only just realized how well she’s stayed glossy.

Besides the boats getting winterized, the forum definitely gets a lot less action. The past two weeks I’ve noticed a huge decrease in posts.
