If I ever have to pull the engine I'll certainly paint the bilge, as mine looks rough when clean too. They used some kind of splatter to give it a texture/look with black splatter on off-white paint.  And while it might make a slightly dirty bilge look nicer, it just never looks clean at all.
Mine is the same way. The splatter hides the grime, but also my hard with haha.

Great looking storage @Lake_Bum.  Nice truck for hauling too!

We winterized a couple of weeks ago. Missed out on some nice weather but had too many commitments & no time for boating. Hopefully next year

Well, I waxed and covered the boat yesterday.  She’s all put away a bit earlier this year.

Sounds like most have had a good season. We are going to try to find somewhere (drive) over Christmas we can see snow! It was cooler today and made me yearn for some boat camping!

Completed pack up, filled her up and she’s ready to pull out Thursday and winterize Saturday. Sad day.

It's got the 6.7 Powerstroke.  F350 King Ranch edition.  I tend to go through lots of different hunting trucks, but my Tow rig stays put.  It's an amazing truck!

We had a Mystic trip planned for the weekend but weather forecast changed that. Pulled a wave runner out, pulled a whaler out, and tied everything else down with extra lines
Rinker sold but still have other boats        Eastern LI, NY

Nice truck- I sold fleet and commercial ford for over 30 years. Ford has had it's share of problems but for a work truck, the  F series trucks just have not been beaten! I have an 06 F150 2 wheel drive and I lovecwatching mouths drop when it easily pulls it up the ramp. Now if I was going over mountains etc I would want that diesel also but for florida, I'm good.

Hauled out today for its winter nap. Not a spec of crud on the bottom! Now planning my off-season projects.

We are currently at Forest View. Inside, heated.
  • rasburyrasbury Member Posts: 8,688 ✭✭✭✭✭
Ours is outside heated. I've said it a few times the northern boaters are real boaters as you have a limited season and expensive haul out and storage. Indoor heated for what 5 months? That has to be a chunk! You all have your orher winter activities as well - we just sit in the heat. We had a super mild winter last year- its been a long while since a cold one.

Pulle the Sea-Doos out of the water for the winter. These need some serious TLC cleaning over the winter.

Ours never sits in the water overnight & we spend lots of time detailing. Can't imagine the dark hulls to keep clean.

These have been in the water since April of 2024, but they sit on a floating pwc dock with covers. I was busy last year end of summer, then just said whatever they can stay there for the winter.

Thursday she came out, power washed the bottom. Yesterday winterized, canvas down, cover on. Next Saturday she goes into hibernation with the scent of Irish Mist, Bounce and moisture gathering damp rid.

    One day closer to launch….

What do you do with the Irish Mist and Bounce? Just leave it out?

The Irish Mist soap bars apparently are good to keep out anything that shouldn’t be in there so I spread a few around will the boxes open. In spring there was a nice scent and they were moist so sucked a bit of humidity out of the air. The Bounce sheets - I unload half a box all through the inside - same idea to keep the air smelling nice. Stuffing them in the through hulls keeps out visitors also.

Besides prepping the new manifolds and risers, I didn’t feel like installing them today so I drained and serviced the drives.

What else did you do as part of your servicing? I'm preparing to do this for the first time next weekend...
