To make it easier it does have an OIL X-CHANGE-R SYSTEM so I may have to learn how to use it next year.

Wrapped up a few projects this weekend before closing up things until next year. Was a beautiful fall weekend in central Illinois. We have 5 acres & lease 3 back to farmer. He was out working field & said they had very good yields on corn that was planted around us this year.

Last night was perfectly still so did a last minute ride to dinner on the Grady. Gets dark way too early with the time change though. 

Took one Whaler off the rack and put it on the trailer to cover it up. Put the second Whaler on the rack so it can get washed tomorrow. Still holding on with two boats in the water.

Been mulling over how to get rid of the window drape covering the porthole in the head to give it a more open feeling, and a bit more usable storage area around the sink. I also wanted to still see outside -- so frosted/solid was out -- and let in some light, but not see in (easily). 

Did some research and am trying some vinyl wrap used for headlights. Got VViViD Dark Black Headlight Tint Air-Release Vinyl Wrap. It's specifically designed for acrylic (which is what the portholes are made of). If it doesn't work, I can always remove it.

Here are three pics of the progression looking in from the outside. First is original (no tint). Second is tint on inside surface. Third is tint on outside surface. (So a tint "sandwich" - one layer on each side.)

Since we know which ever side has the brighter light, that's the side you'll see in to. My storage is pretty dark - and I turned on the light in the head. It's pretty hard to see inside, even up close. It will be interesting to see how it will look from the inside out once I get the boat outside in the sun, because I don't think anyone will be able to see inside. (Fingers crossed.)

Made my boat jealous by talking with the admiral about trading it in on a replacement.  T29 explorer.  Factory bow truster, ac.  No generator but somehow says it has enough battery bank to run ac, on a 90 degree South East humid day with 88 degree water temps, I'm wondering how big this bank is.

I installed new JL Audio speakers , they replaced my kickers. What a difference, much better sounding , and i can hear them over the boat noise. Got home and got a notice that the Marina I am at is closing, so I have 30 days to move. Fortunately I have a friend that is up the river, and is going to let me stay there until I find a spot.

I used “frosted glass” vinyl. Still lets in lots of light but you cannot see anything.

Well, I replaced one courtesy light today
 It was orgional sp it had a harness with a plug- impossible to get to...but it is working...

Did you replace with LED or incandescent? All mine are blown out, so I'm considering replacing with LED. If I'm feeling ambitious, I might replace with RGB LED.

I bought these lights since I needed new lights, as one of the old ones was burnt out. I love these because they are basic white when you turn them on, but a quick ON/OFF/ON turns them to blue, then red, then green, then back to white.

I also added them to the radar arch and I'm very happy with the results. I like the red since it allows you to see but doesn't ruin your night vision and keeps the bugs away. The party people love the blue... *shrug*

Refilled the Big Orange canister with fresh charcoal. Had a hard time releasing the canister. The O-rings on the top of the canister kind of glued themselves to the top portion. Once I got it freed and refilled I put some plumbers grease on them and hopefully that will make it release easier next time. (And boy did it stink up the boat without the filter in place.)

Getting mine installed is on my to-do list for the winter. I need to take some stuff apart in order to reach the vent line.
