@skennelly , definitely sounds like an impellor issue (or pump itself). I see it happen often on my dock with all the boats on lifts. At some point or another, if the impellor hasn't been changed, or if the plate inside the pump is worn (grooved), it won't prime and pull water in. Hopefully you didn't burn the flappers in the exhaust. I did this a couple years ago and had to replace those too. Either way, it's early in the season and should be an easy fix! Let us know how it goes!
Yep, good reason to just change it out every other year. I did mine last spring, but going to change my genny one this week. It's a lot easier than trying to find all the pieces.
Freezing rain and snow warnings here tomorrow and Sunday. Possible power outages. Should be working on the boat, instead will be gassing up the generator.....
Calling for up to an inch of freezing rain and then up to a foot of snow on top of it over the next two days here. Generator is ready in the garage, gas cans are full. Beer and wine is stocked. Come on Mother Nature....you biaattcchh!
