Congrats. Now the question is, what are you going to do with all that extra time on your hands, now that you're not maintaining a boat?

Well they showed up today and took the boat. Sad. 2.5 hours later the broker called me and said both motors had died. I said No way. Then they said one motor wouldnt start. Turned out they ran up on a sand bar and the one motor wasnt in neutral. They called boat US. Hahahahahhahahahahahaahahha

A wise person once said:  some people just shouldn't own boats.

I sold a boat to a guy a couple years ago, that claimed he had owned boats previously.  He called me on his first trip, said it wouldn't start.  A very quick Q & A by me, determined he had it in gear.  He called me back, on the 2nd trip out on the boat, same thing, wouldn't start.  A very quick (and final) Q & A determined he had pulled the kill switch off.   I wished him well, and said the free advice is now over  B)

I believe Steve has it right. Time to move on. I have been very lucky as my Rinkers have all gone to great guys who know boating and love boats......but I also know what it feels like to see someone do something you don't approve of to a cherished past possession.

Sold a very expensive custom waterfront house 10 years ago to move to a condo. Glass windows and sliding doors all across the back looking onto a 40 foot by  25 foot cedar deck that had a walkway bridge to a 12 person hot tub. Over sized garage with custom redwood doors shipped across Canada from British Columbia by rail and custom Pella wood windows.

Went down the water a couple of years later past it. He had covered the hot tub with  a crappy lean to and attached what looked like a screen porch the length of the house, over the deck, using crappy lumber and a ledger board nailed onto the beautiful brick. My 9 year old grand daughter would have done a better job. For sure it would have obscured most of the view of the water from inside the house. Also he had painted the red wood garage doors white and the Pella windows white with paint all over the brick.

The Admiral was really upset. I said - he paid full asking price. It was his to do whatever with. Let's move on. She agreed but I did see her point. Sometimes, as Steve has indicated, you have to move on - particularly in the face of stupidity.

    Happy trails Steve!
