I could be completely wrong here but the Merc QSD's and TDI's are supplied by Cummins as all of the spec sheets are on Cummins Marine title blocks. If anyone knows for sure, please let us know.

OK- a bit challenged here....what is powerboat television and what is Global TV? I went to the link and the face book page...is it an internet based show or a cable show? Was not clear and would like to check it out...although I assume it is more about power boats (racing type) than cruizer?

Hey Ras, it was a Canadian power boating TV show that won a ton of awards. Some of the best tips, how to's and reviews anywhere. Global TV is a Canadian broadcaster. Have you googled Power Boating TV? I'll try that. I think it opens to links to all of their past TV shows including lots of reviews of Rinkers.

Okay Ras, you lazy dog, I did your homework for you - LOL.... Google Power Boat Television click on it. Go to the header and select current season or previous seasons. They used to go back about 5 years. I didn't look to see how far they still go back. There's LOTS to see - Have fun!

@Michael T very cool, thanks! I did go to their face book page and figured if it was available to watch, there would be a link there. Perhaps I missed it. Thanks Mike, now I have something to do while my boat is winterized...wait, I'll be on it all winter, no time to watch it anyway! ha ha

Thanks Steve.....you've already done your fair share of hurtin' by posting those sunset pictures of your pool looking past a bottle of wine out to the canal beyond Nice! Real Nice! :-) .....I'm waiting for you two sh*ts to get together for a pool, margarita and cigar party and post the pictures on here just to rub it in, while we're freezing our behinds off up North! LOL

Isn't that the truth! :)  (always a bit behind, that is, maybe it has to do with diesels?)

  • rasburyrasbury Member Posts: 8,925 ✭✭✭✭✭
ouch! OK, for Handy's benefit. Do not confuse step one with step two as that would be spring time! since he is new to Fl, here are the procedures for a Florida winterise....
  • Handymans342Handymans342 Member Posts: 10,375 ✭✭✭✭✭
I just use a wet vac Ras. Pulling that plug is for the trailer girls  B)
  • Michael TMichael T Member Posts: 7,241 ✭✭✭✭✭
.......don't forget to look at your exhaust elbows, stern drive parts and engine heat exchanger for salt water corrosion.....now - also Florida procedures :-) I will never forget the picture someone posted on this forum a while back of a set of twin stern drives that an owner had left on a boat in a marina in Florida  without proper anodic protection - they were eaten half way up the drive with shafts ect. hanging loose. It was jaw dropping - in a bad way!

Steve, you're in Cape Coral, located at a beautiful spot on a canal, near the ocean - I think you have a "leg-up" on everyone's status!

Hold on. Still no ice in Lake Ontario - I could've left my boat in the water this winter!

@MB - yeah, no ice here either and decent temperatures right up to a couple of days ago. I could have had another three months!
