Why are they so expensive! Any leads to a Quicksilver belt under $111.86 ??!!

    About right unfortunately. I think I paid almost $130 CAN when I changed mine. B.O.A.T. 
    Might find a Sierra for less.

    Go get a Gates belt from NAPA. They should be able to measure yours and get one that fits.

    Funny thing check walmart should be 80 backs they carry merc belts on line.

    I checked Walmart, same price. I read that the Gates belt is a little tight and a Goodyear fits better. Would like to stay with Quicksilver though.

    By tight I meant wide, tight in the pulleys.

    I found a Gates K061058 that is supposed to be almost the same length, $25 USD each at Home Depot.




    Haven’t installed them yet because of COVID.

    @YYZRC , your belt part number ends in a 006 mine ends in a 003.

    On my 2006 350 mags I went with gates and they fit great and worked well for 3 seasons until I sold the boat, will be fine for many seasons to come. Believe I went down a size just a touch

    I googled my belt part number and found the cross on a Bayliner forum. Hopefully you find one!

    There is only so many companies that make parts and beyond that it's just different names and part numbers. Being the cheap butt that I am I always cross reference part numbers. For instance the power steering pump on my boat is something like $600 from Volvo but the same GM one is about $130 from the auto store. 


    The gates Gates belt k061058 is only 5mm shorter.

    Made me think...I had a raw water pump go at the ramp and it took out the belt ( I thought I just lost the belt) so went down the road to the auto parts store...don't have a clue what I bought (got two) and the first one is still on there...it's just a friggin belt!
    Merc really shoots themselves in the foot sometimes...I wonder how many Marina's are charging for a Merc power steering pump...I picked mine up for 60 at o Riley's and they transferred the pulley too!

    I received the new belts today, huge difference with how they feel compared to the old ones, soft and rubbery. The old ones feel hard and stiff.

    I know it’s the same part number but for some reason I feel better knowing they’re Quicksilver.

    I ordered my new belt yesterday. It was $125 on Amazon. My app told me that it needed changed. Yes, there is an app for that... LOL

    Only a few companies make these flat multi-groove belts. Well, quality belts. Anytime you have a buy-resell And/or branding the price goes up. 2x+ easily.  Just business.

    Nope they were great. Only thing I will do next time I replace belts is on the port motor I will bypass the PS pump.

    Can you do that without an idler pulley? I though about it years ago when the port PS pump crapped out.

    Gates worked awesome on my 350's. Only thing was make sure to buy them from somewhere you can be sure they are the same lot. I dont remember why but I had to buy them from two places and they were totally different in texture and one was a hair longer than the other. Returned and bought from the same store, same time, to be sure same.

    I have used Gates for years on high horsepower snowmobiles and on tow behind brush cutters. Never an issue.

    I’ve been using Continental belts for the past 3 years without any problems. I have  5.0 Mercuisers here’s a picture of the part number if anyone needs it. Think I paid around $25 for them.
