    My 2 cents: as I've had more boats than any two of you. Collage is a must these days. Starting a collage fund for my boys when they were born. Solved that problem. In hind site wish we had applied for scholarships. As there are many out there.

    @randy56 - Agreed.  Just days after my daughter was born I setup a college fund for her.  I also went to school locally and worked all through college paying for it mostly myself....and I went after every financial scholarship I could.  It helped a lot.

    Don't forget trade schools and other on the job training. College isn't for everyone 😁. 

    I know plenty of people with college degrees working in jobs that require no education.

    Local guys taking truck diesel repair at the local tech school are getting 20+ an hour before they even finish the certification program.

    I should have not gone to college, it was a huge waste of time and $$... seems like a 2 year degree at a community college gets you through the door these days... when it comes down to it, if you work hard and show up on time, you're in.

    I have 8 roles open across the NNE area that are tech roles where a 4 year degree is of little value, I need guys that have base electrical tech and controls knowledge. Usual recruiting isn’t working right now and I am working tech schools looking for those I can train vs. skilled now.

    I never thought I'd see landscaping companies paying 15 to 17 an hour for zero experience workers.

    A "want to work and show up on time attitude " is so rare these days. 


    I'll take a tech who wants to learn over a tech that supposedly knows everything any day of the week.

    @Dream_Inn That was custom for that model year. The mechanic at the former Rinker dealer in Pittsburgh special ordered that boat. The tops are in a black cherry tweed, which was a one off from the factory. She was beautiful when she showed up at the marina.

    Makes sense why I hadn't seen one.  I remember the one in our marina when it was new. I just thought wow I love that color.  Since then, that boat has now been painted and looks good again.

    I wish there was a big boat just like the 342, but with a HUGE table or something in the front v birth.. that bed up there is a WASTE of space.. it's no fun to sleep up there anyway, when you have a nice queen/king bed right there behind the steps!!!
