I use it for doing rainbow trout on the BBQ. Works great!
    That's why I bought it

I made some last week, blackened with some Cajun spices. Not as good as in the pan but doesn’t stink the whole house up.

Have not tried the copper, but use the Teflon ones all the time. Works great.

Oh man, great topic!  I swing from both sides of the plate, but I rarely get crunchy PB.  Instead, I use creamy PB and put potato chips inside the sammich.

The admiral says it has to be strawberry jelly.  I say more pb and no jelly.

Another good variant:  toast the bread, coat one slice with honey, the other with Kerrygold, then PB in the middle.

If you add bacon, it's almost in Elvis territory.

Has anyone here tried peanut butter, bananas and ... mayonnaise?
I was disgusted at the thought ... until my wife's grandma "made me" eat it.
    I was actually impressed.

My vote is smooth peanut butter with blueberry jam. Butter on the bread first. And although I agree on the diagonal cut for most sandwiches, this one is straight cut and on plain white bread. One of those and I'm instantly 8 years old again....

Cooked one several years ago, did not dry out. the key is not to overcook. But the family did not like it so much. One and done.

How long does a 40lb bag last?
Equate it like pound for pound like propane. A 20 pound bag of pellets is like a 20 pound cylinder of propane.

The smoker burns 1 to 3 pounds of pellets per hour. that means each 20 pound bag provides between 6 to 20 hours of cook time (at high or low heat) I figure 1 lb per hour cooking at 225 degrees.

Venison steak. Marinated in a Teriyaki, 1/3 Olive Oil, 2/3 Soy Sauce, tablespoon crushed garlic, tablespoon fresh ground pepper. 2 hours Sous Vide. Admittedly about a minute too long on the grill, done more than I like but still oh so tender. Asian coleslaw and good old frozen vegetables. We didn't have a lot of access to fresh veggies in my younger years and I still have a soft spot for them now and again.

Does not look over cooked. Just right. SV is the way to go. Amazing difference in tenderness...... Wish you lived closer. Wanting samples.
