With a little help from my son - who did the crawling and laying under the hull - finished polishing the hull and bottom paint touch-ups. Splash is scheduled for next week.

Launched the boat today. River was all good then when we went through the lock to the lake we were hit with a heavy fog. Visibility was about 50 yards. Took about an hour and all my local knowledge (i.e., instinct) and electronics to go the four miles from the lock to our dock. I think I'd rather be in heavy seas instead of fog.

Ouch! Is that your shore power? How did you know to check it?  And glad you did!

It was my shore power AC inlet. We were running the heat last night and it just cut out around 5am. Really glad it didn’t cause a fire!!

Lucky I have 2 like new inlets from when I removed them from the starboard side.

Still in progress, here is the new helm seat base. This will be the color of all the upholstery in the flybridge. All new thicker foam with bolstered sides and front, he also made the armrest longer and wider, this seat is going to be so much more comfortable.

I am yet to do a shakedown cruise of the Rinker and the new dink. This weather is pi$$ing me off.

We’ve had the heat on at home a few times this week.
