    I had my canvas guy run stitching along all of the seams on my bimini top. I noticed some areas where the pieces were “welded” together starting to disbond. I also waterproofed it when I got it back.

    Grady is bottom painted thanks to oldest kid. Will see if can get wax on the hull and floating tomorrow

    Installed my port drive today and adjusted the new trim senders I installed. Also hooked up the batteries.

    Changed out the coolant in both mains.  As always, big motors are thirsty.  It's 30 gallons at $40/gallon.  This is why I'm still working half-time at my day job.

    You guys are really ahead of us here in Canada, with a long winter and more Snow this Sunday.  Looking like May by the time we can be in the water.  But working on another big block fibre glass project :wink:

    I think it's a diluted form of Liquid Schwartz.  :D   I looked for aftermarket coolant that meets the Volvo spec, but couldn't find anything in the US market that I felt comfortable with.

    @SimcoeRinker400 @aero3113 I got jealous of your four wheeled toys so I joined the club. I had a E46 M3 coupe in my youth and it was time to get another one. FB Marketplace is a dangerous place.

    Ran both engines today and cut off the shrink wrap below the rub rail. Also gave it a quick wax below the rub rail.

    Starboard water pump had a very small seep at one of the edges. I replaced the impellers and didn’t use any sealant on the gaskets over the winter, I was tired of scraping and cleaning the sealant and wanted to see if the sealant was needed. It probably would’ve sealed itself but took it back out. Port side was fine. Pulled off the starboard pump and sealed her up, no more leak. I also found the pulley was rubbing on a clamp tail. I heard a strange faint sound when I started her but I thought it was the alternator. Readjusted the clamp , also painted the wear mark!

    I looked at another FJ40 today that I came across on Marketplace yesterday. As I pulled up to it, it looked promising, the body looked solid. I took one look under the hood and told the owner I wasn’t interested. Had a lot of rust in areas that would make it too big of a project! Would’ve been cool to have two 40’s and I just ordered the Land Cruiser 250 last month. I should have it in a week or two.

    Yeah, it's the valve cover to have when you're only having one!

    I had a quote for $2k for valve adjustments by a pro.  After a lot of research and tool-buying, it's not that hard. Diane helped!
