Rebuilt three seawater pumps (main engines plus generator). It's no different from all those Hardin pumps I rebuilt over the years ... you see one, you've seen them all.
What's wrong with this picture? John, yes I did buy yet another cheap 6-ton hydraulic press, exactly like the one I sold you a couple years ago!
A bunch of generator maintenance for me today. Replaced the coupler and impeller. Also replaced the anode in the heat exchanger. Vacuumed the pan under the generator, paint is starting to flake. I’ll have to put a coat of paint on where I can reach.
I was on shore, Great Peconic Bay. Sebonack clubhouse in Southampton is the background. One good thing about dropping old phone in the water, the new phone camera is pretty dam good

Rinker sold but still have other boats Eastern LI, NY
Thanks to the great info from @ReneeChris14 and @rmfriday in this thread, I tackled the Simpson-Lawrence Horizon 600 windlass fix...no pictures of it reassembled, but here she is in a scary pile of parts.
It was a little more difficult getting it back together, but nothing a step drill and dremel couldn't fix. Also had a spring from one of the brushes depart, luckily I found it before I stepped on it and broke it.
For those that might try to tackle this, here is a pdf of the instructions with some editorializing by myself.
I took the rest of the shrink wrap off (left the arch covered) and wiped her down. I still have to replace the caps and rotors and give her a good wash down. She’s patiently waiting.

Looks better than the last picture out back covered with snow!
Rearranged the battery tray area and installed four new Duracell AGM batteries, bought at Sam's Club thanks to your recommendations.
Two Group 34M starting batteries, and two Group 31M deep cycle that I paralleled so I now have 200Ah. Still need to tidy up the wiring, but hunched over in a confined space moving 60 lb. blocks of lead - you can only do so much before you need a break.

I've been thinking about reorganizing my battery area as well, its a mess. I currently have boxes and want to go to trays. What kind of trays do you have?
I bought Camco trays on Amazon. (This is the Group 27/31 tray: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002XL4IIO). I always wait for a sale. Right now they're $21, but if you look at the price history they go as low as $8. That's when I usually buy. I'd say about twice a year they go that low.
And then just to spiff it up a bit I got some anodized tie downs: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F6Y6VMQ7 Got those for $6, but now they're up to $8.
Just as we finished winterizing, the port drive dropped and the fluid pumped out - one of the connectors into the manifold under the transom housing pulled out due to corrosion at the manifold. So I order 2 of each - manifolds and hydraulics, if one went the other may do too soon - she’s a 23 year old. Today started out replacing the port side finding out that corrosion was getting at one connector on the starboard cylinder on the port drive. Further inspection of the starboard drive revealed similar - in fact that manifold was worse from corrosion and the cylinders are not in ideal condition. Good chance with new manifolds and pipework some more aluminum will let go anyway on the cylinders. Now looking out for cylinders, the hard part is done changing the manifolds - and pulling out and pulling back the Mercathode wires that go through them - and connections to the engine room hydraulics. When I get the cylinders, pop them off, connect lines, fill and bleed.
I replaced one of the manifolds this spring. I had a heII of a time with the Mercathode, my pull wire slipped off and I had to fish it back through with a coat hanger
Launch day! Had to wait for three trains before they lifted the bridge and getting underway to the lake. Boat is dusty from inside storage, but raining now which will hopefully rinse off some of gunk before I go give it a good wash this weekend...
