I had seen a boat last year with a foot shower at the area where one would board and I knew I had to have it, especially given its simplicity. I always dock starboard side, so putting it there at the swim platform was a no-brainer.
This mod is particularly easy and inexpensive since you can simply tap into the fresh water system. I took a SharkBite T adapter and tapped into the cold water PEX line at the area where it goes forward at the front-starboard bilge area (getting my body back there was not fun.) Then I added a much-needed accumulator (again, with SharkBite connectors), a SharkBite shutoff valve, an open/close solenoid with SharkBite connectors, and then the faucet, via...wait for it...a SharkBite adapter. All in, I'm at <$300 for parts, including the added accumulator. Of all the parts I was really surprised at how inexpensive the water valve solenoid was and how spendy and numerous the SharkBite connectors were.
The only part that was a touch scary was where I drilled the hole for the power button, but once I knew that I wouldn't need to add the nut to the back of it and simply secure it with silicone it was far less worrisome. I drilled a smaller size then Dremeled out to a custom tight fit, securing with silicone. The only electrical here was power going to the solenoid via the momentary push switch, and negative on the solenoid to ground...simple.
I was able to test it but forgot to take pictures, but will add one later. I tried to find the same nozzle that was on the Eliminator boat, but was unable (they were sold out of that nozzle at the time.) The only low-profile faucet nozzles I could find were the "non-ligature" type and were quite expensive since usually sold to hospitals or prisons. I like that it is stainless steel and has a wider spray pattern with more volume than the one on the Eliminator boats. I placed the nozzle to spray where you would be as you board, with your hand conveniently resting on the gunnel where the switch is. Putting it there keeps it somewhat hidden and not prone to accidental use.
My old hose nozzle must’ve had some water in it and froze/cracked over the winter. Bought this one from Home Depot and really like it. Small, compact and don’t have to worry about dropping it and damaging anything since it has rubber on it. Does stream and spray with the pull of the trigger. I guess it can be used with hot water.

Brought mine out of shed since tilt hydraulics and cylinder replaced and all good. Power washed, buffed below rub rail and cleaned drives ready to paint. Launched the inflatable and on its dock.

Whoa that's awesome. Are you happy with it?
I only got to test it so far...unfortunately due to being behind on the misting system and work I'm not able to splash her until Thursday, just in time for Memorial weekend. I'll update with an actual picture at the dock but just the test made me happy. Not sure how much it will get used but it was more of a "I have to have that!" type of mod. The misting system will be insane, presuming it works...
Been hot here so buffing has been tough. Finally got both sides done, only the stern and I can do that in the water sitting on the swim platform. Go in in a day or 2 - finally.
And here is the first test of the high pressure misting system. Yes, that bimini is last year's project that I promised I would post but will
have to wait for another day, but it's basically an aluminum frame with
two 560watt bi-facial solar panels feeding a 3000 watt solar
charger/controller/inverter. This allows to power the pellet grill,
lounge fridge/freezer, battery charger, etc.
I bought a new drive reservoir assembly for my starboard side. The old bottle has a slow drip at where the wires come out on the bottom. $51.99 on Amazon.
Crazy right @YYZRC . I looked on eBay also and everyone was selling over priced new aftermarket or used OEM. I thought it was pretty cheap considering it’s OEM.
LoL! I paid $73k a few weeks ago for a new oven for the G650. Actually, it was a repaired unit. And $34k for a repaired microwave for the G500. These ar cheap compared to some of the other Avionics and engine parts.

And my wife thinks boats are expensive...at least your jet makes money I assume...

I forgot to take a pic of her in the water but she’s in!⚓️

This is a Radio Altimeter I had to have replaced for our G650ER yesterday.

Privately owned, not for charter.
