Looks good. So your boat is in the water, means transom plate is fixed?

Yes, the total bill was $10,667 for all the work I had done. I know its a lot but its a 4 page bill LOL. I also had them do the bellows on the other drive too so going forward Its all 100%. Key west here I come but first its out to the gulf to catch some grouper.

Here she is in the cradle. The lift can go up another 4 feet. Good for hurricanes LOL. It was a beautiful day.

Handy, that is awesome!  Looks just like the type of environment Salt Shaker is in.  I did one additional thing.  That was to make a plywood gang plank to bridge the span between the dock and the swim deck.  (I have adopted the term "swim deck.")  For me in the geezer stage, I appreciate the ability to walk across the gap.

Two reasons for posting the photo.  One is to show the high water we had during the wx event but the other is to show there the Salt Shaker lives when she is at her home dock.  Right now she is at my favorite place to invest money getting some things fixed and other things upgraded.

Wow.....that is high water levels.   Does that happen often?  Looks like another foot higher and that house floods.

It does not happen real often, maybe once a year.  I saw it maybe a foot higher than this.  My admiral saw it maybe 3 feet higher but that was before I knew her.  It would need to go up 7 or 8 more feet before it got into the houses here but the roads would be flooded long before that and the best way out and in would be by boat, which there are plenty of here.

This photo was taken at near "High tide" and the extra water height was caused by a rather stout southwest wind pushing the Gulf of Mexico ashore and into our canals.  So it was all additive.

The house you are looking at has no occupied space below the deck.  So a few feet higher and the bottom could see some water but it would not be a drastic problem.  The yard and dock you see at our house in the photo is 4 steps plus some up slope below the house.

My canal got as high as my dock during hurricane Charley. Still has to go up another 10 feet to get in house.
