Re: What did you do to your boat today
I’ve been having a hard time not doing the same. Can get top dollar right now and as long as you’re okay with not boating for 2-3yrs you can probably make out really well on your next boat tooBlack_Diamond said:TBD on what is next. Boat prices by me are crazy, even crap boats selling. Prob take some time off. Got a gig crewing a sailboat on Wed night races here. In an ideal world I’d upsize. TBD.
Got a full price offer in 24hrs, sight unseen.

Re: Heat and Air pump for my 2008 350 Cruiser
Seacock should be in the small access in the aft area under the stairs, directly in front of the port side small cabinet. It is open if the lever is parallel to the hose.

Re: 270 hot water tank size?
A lot of people(including myself) do the bypass so you don't have to put 6 gallons of antifreeze in it during winterization.

Re: St Clair Shores area bottom painting
Are you sure about that AA? Here on the great lakes if we dont bottom paint we have quite a science project on our hands. My 310 was wet stored just for the summer and after 30 days I had hours of scrubbing with Zep toilet cleaner and a $200 lift bill on my hands. Huge regret, had to have it lifted a few times for horrible cleanings. At least in this freshwater you must bottom paint if wet slipped for more than a couple of weeks.

Run the boat on plane with the seacock open before you replace the pump.

Hook the inlet line to the outlet line. Like bypassing the heater core in a vehicle.

Re: Two questions - windlass and A/C
Sometimes the AC seawater pump does not prime after being out of the water. With AC running on cool or heat cycle check for water coming out of the boat. On my 342 it is at the bow stbd side. The unit should shut down if there is no water flow.
