Re: Removing drives, engines and transom assemblies.

Welcome to the Rinker world the 342 is a great boat. I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Re: Pic Of The Day

Hey it's a Pittsburgh penguin!

On another note, I finally found a good use for the bait table.  If you like spiced rum Plantation makes great sipping spiced rum. I use the cheap rum for mixing.

I don't think my camera does this view justice, faintly in background is part of the Appalachian mountains standing above the tree line in the distance. While the Appalachian trial doesn't cross south carolina many trails leading to it can be found not far from here.

Re: Canvas

Exactly why I switched to Stamoid when I replaced all my canvas 7 years ago or so.  No mold. No mildew. No 303.

I used stamoid light for my full winter cover.  Absolutely the best material!  Very lightweight, no mild or mildew and keeps clean!  Not the cheapest material when you are covering a 40' boat all the way past the water line, but well worth it.

Re: How do you keep the birds away!?

That’s crazy @RiverRat232 , and I’m sure the best is protected and has to stay.

Not only does he lose his boat, he lost his lift and slip!

Re: Wireless charging for phones, etc.

I have a double USB port that replaced the cigarette lighter at the helm and the same unit in the cabin next to the dining table. I charge my phone, tablets, sports watch etc. On a long run both tablets are plugged in for VesselView and Navionics charts.

Re: Broken walk through latch

It is very easy to disassemble the walk thru. Four Phillips screws. I would not risk drilling with the glass still in place. Agreed with above comments on riveting again.

Re: Oil pressure high

8M006874 is the correct part #. With ignition on remove wire from sender, gauge should read zero. Touch the  wire to ground and you should get full scale deflection. If this is what you get then the wiring and gauge are ok, you have a sender problem.

Re: How do you keep the birds away!?

Awesome Aero! YYRC, good old Ortho Home Defence from Home Depot works great here for spiders. Spray the dock lines, shore power cords, dock and posts, rub rail, canvas….. we spray every few weeks. Huge difference!!
