Greetings peeps! First post to this group and first off I want to thank y'all for all the inspiration via this forum. I purchased a new to me 2005 270FV for my 50th and have been steadily working on projects for the last two months. I'm finally at a stopping point (for now) and thought I'd share some of the progress and results. I big thank you to @diggin2day1 for his excellent craftsmanship and to all the online vendors that I made a bit wealthier over the last two months. A few more planned in the future like Aqua Marine Decking and a custom drawer insert for the wet bar. Thanks for reading, take care.

RED SKELTON'S RECIPE FOR THE PERFECT MARRIAGE
1. Two times a week we go to a nice restaurant, have a little beverage, good food and companionship. She goes on Tuesdays, I go on Fridays.
2. We also sleep in separate beds. Hers is in California and mine is in Texas.
3. I take my wife everywhere, but she keeps finding her way back.
4. I asked my wife where she wanted to go for our anniversary. "Somewhere I haven't been in a long time!" she said. So I suggested the kitchen.
5. We always hold hands. If I let go, she shops.
6. She has an electric blender, electric toaster and electric bread maker. She said "There are too many gadgets, and no place to sit down!" So I bought her an electric chair.
7. My wife told me the car wasn't running well because there was water in the carburetor. I asked where the car was. She told me, "In the lake."
8. She got a mud pack and looked great for two days. Then the mud fell off.
9. She ran after the garbage truck, yelling, "Am I too late for the garbage?" The driver said, "No, jump in!".
10. Remember: Marriage is the number one cause of divorce.
11. I married Miss Right. I just didn't know her first name was 'Always'.
12. I haven't spoken to my wife in 18 months. I don't like to interrupt her.
13. The last fight was my fault though. My wife asked, "What's on the TV?"
I said, "Dust!".
Can't you just hear him say all of these?
I love it. These were the good old days when humor didn't have to start with a four letter word. It was just clean and simple fun. And he always ended his programs with the words, "And May God Bless" with a big smile on his face.

Another "toy" I loved was my chemistry set. Had great stuff in it like mercury, sulphur, etc. Everything that's bad and banned nowadays.
I remember trying to make some homemade fireworks in the basement and some burning sulpher fell on the floor and started melting the linoleum. Inhaling sulpher smoke is not fun - not to mention my mom was not pleased.

Hey, I have lots to share ... I have a big green egg, and a Napoleon Prestige Pro 665 ... I love all kinds of cooks.YYZRC said:Pork back ribs from a discount grocery store. Still turned out good (a bit dry) - I have lots to learn!
For ribs, this is what I do:
1) season with a nice rub the night before the cook.
2) cook indirect at 250F to 275F for 3h, and replenish your wood to get good smoke penetration, obviously avoid opening the lid because that messes up the cook (I like apple wood). Temperature is critical, don't let it climb much beyond 275F.
3) take the ribs out and put onto of a large foil piece (see next about how big it needs to be. Add bbq sauce, apple juice (just sprinkle a bit all over), ample seasoning (a nice mix like Weber or Keg seasoning ... even Montreal Seasoning if you want a bit of a bite).
4) wrap in foil. Make sure the wrap is tight and sealed (seem the ends that go around the ribs, I actually double fold them to make sure it is tight ... so you'll need enough to go around and overlap by at least 2", which is why I only use really wide foil). On the ends, you should have at least 8 inch excess foil, and fold these over multiple times to seal tight.
5) cook in foil for another 1 hour to 1.5 hours. First time ... just go with 1h ... sometimes 1.5h the meat is so tender it is hard to handle and everything falls apart.
6) take off and with foil wrapped, let them cool for at least 15 minutes, prefer 20 to 30 minutes. This is important. If you don't do this, the ribs will fall apart and make a mess. Cooling tightens the meat and it allows it to be tender, but at least hold together.
7) last step is to do a quick sear. This step is optional, but I think it provides a nice taste to crisp and caramelize the rib sauce. I raise the grill temperature to 500F, then add some more bbq sauce and glaze it top and bottom, then cook direct each side for like 1 minute (be careful, you can total dry them out at this stage). Remember, the ribs are cooked, and every minute you spend crisping them up is also drying them out! So you just want enough to get a bit of grill marks and see that sauce bubbling. Big flames are a killer here to, so you need to watch this closely.
The whole process takes about 5 hours.

I bit the bullet and got the hills Marine 4 x 4 20 pitch $1400 propellers for my 2007 Rinker 350. It has made a world of difference on how fast I get up on plane. At wide open throttle as best as I can tell I’ve only lost perhaps 1 mile an hour of top end speed. Prior propellers were three bladed aluminum 21 pitch. Merely changing material from aluminum to steal made it to huge difference anyway.JimGuy341 said:Hill Marine 4x4 props. 20p.
I had the same set up as you. Twin 350 mpi w/ B3 3x3 props. Switched to Hill this season. Money well spent.
