Re: CANADA KEEPING AN EYE ON SNEAKY U.S BOATERS
Guys to be honest, as far as any Canadian "reporting" my American boating (or non-boating) brothers I say this to them: I have never been fond of rats and don't like them in my house (Canada). As a guy with bone marrow cancer who gets a transfusion once a month I am aware of viruses. That said, if some Americans want to come to my home (Canada) for some beers, gas or just for the fun of it and don't have a temperature like our Rinker engine coolant at operating temperature and aren't hacking and coughing - I say WELCOME. You guys are awesome neighbours and tolerate a whole whack of us every winter..... so to the rats here, in my house (Canada) I say pi$$ off!

Re: Vessel view mobile gph suddenly way off
Contacted Mercury yesterday regarding bad readings of gph on VVM. Got response today. “There is an update being urgently worked on to correct this. Stay tuned”.

Re: My new toy 2001 2859 diesel

She's supposed to help lift the stern of heavy boats. Due to design should net me a few rpm over my current prop and plane quicker. Should also lower my crusing rpm and improve low speed handling.
Rain or shine I'm launching this weekend. Pending no sever thunder storms from the hurricane barreling towards the Gulf.
I will review further after a good solo run.

Re: Engine Hatch Motor
Been there, done that.
First step: find two or three large-diameter friends willing to help.
Then: Use screwdriver to remove table mount in center of the engine hatch. Insert arm. Remove pin from top of ram. Remove heavy items from transom locker. Ask large-diameter friends to carefully pull hatch open, noting that if they drop it, very bad things happen.
If it is the boat's first time, you will need to cut a slit in the insulation so you can get your arm through.
