Re: kohler 5E generator
Hopefully these pics help. Remove the two Allen screws. You can pull it out with a pair of needle nose but I ended up pulling off the big round plate the Allen screws attach to.

Re: Unique storage ideas
Speaking of Admirals rule - not actually storage ideas but my Admiral did make some awesome removable custom fender covers from black Walmart towels for the new Yamaha SX195. I got into the game by re purposing a broken car wash brush handle. Cut the end off, made a loop of coated cable, crimped the end, slid that into the open end, drilled a hole and inserted a bolt and aircraft nut and topped-off with a rubber chair leg cover to use as a push stick. I have made a number of these over the years and they make snagging a dock cleat in a breeze - a breeze.

Re: What did you do to your boat today
Removed the aging/dated decals and buffed/waxed. Our neighbor friend said, "What, no more Miami Vice?"

Re: What did you do to your boat today
Also found a guy on eBay who makes fender covers using OEM Sunbrella fabric for a fraction of what TaylorMade charges. Put those on today...

Re: What did you do to your boat today
When we bought the boat the transporter removed the radar and when they got to the harbor it seems they just popped open a tube of silicone and spread it around and plopped the radar back down.
It was bugging me all last season, so today I cleaned it up as best I could and resealed with some 3M 4000UV. Not perfect, but way better.

Re: Jabsco 37045 Toilet won't flush out or empty
Well my theory proved correct...the hose from the toilet to the holding tank was plugged solid with calcium In hindsight it was not a good idea to snake the hose as that broke it all free but the line would have had to been replaced eventually. Now with a new pump and new line the toilet drains super fast....I will post a separate posting to detail what I did including a video

Re: Changing cabin lights to LED. How do I get the lens off without breaking?
The ones I linked will work, I have the same boat. I think they are all pretty much standard.
When you put the ring back on it has to be aligned properly or it won't go back in. It shouldn't take much effort to put on so if you're having to force it take it off and check the alignment.
I forgot I do have a picture with the lens off.
