This was bound to happen sooner or later ... the aftercooler failed on the port engine. It was original from 2011, and it pressure-tested fine in December. But when I saw white smoke in the exhaust and found coolant dripping from the induction manifold, I knew the cause right away.

The starboard side was replaced in 2023, so this one was living on borrowed time. I added a shiny coating of gloss white paint, and now the boat is ready for another 15 years of cruising!

You definitely want sealed batteries when in the cabin, so it does not discharge gases.

I finished detailing my hullsides and got the bottom painted. Ready for launch on Sunday!

@Formulaben has reminded me to check my windlass...

I actually got a new 24 battery tray a while back so I brought it with me to Sam's. The 34 has bit a smaller form factor, length and height-wise, but width is about the same as the 24, and fits fine in the 24 battery tray.

I did the same with silver coins. I've been hoarding nearly a sleeve and a half of them for a decade or more. Silver spikes and I don't hear about it until it's and after thought.

My kid graduates next month, that would have been a nice graduation present for him. I guess now it could be half a sleeve of silver and a "watch for a spike kid"

My investments are probably beer money level compared to most of the investors on here. If I make 250 bucks on a stock I feel like I hit the lottery.

I took the info from the posts here and made a document for download...hope it helps for the next victim. I had a bit of a struggle with the electric motor going back in without some adjustments to the hole where the electrical leads go. Also didn't note the orientation of the clutch bearing when removing. All noted in the document to help out.
