Meanwhile in Canada... I got out on the water today...not my favourite way, but still enjoyable, if you're part masochist. Will prefer when I'm fishing in FLA with @randy56 in about 3 weeks. Not hard to keep the beer cold!
Omg it 47 in cent FL and thought I was going to die....
About -4F with the wind today. Not bad for this time of year. Now can you see why so many of us head to Florida every winter and swim in the ocean when the water is in the 70's?😆 We chuckle (in a polite Canadian way) at everyone wearing toques and heavy jackets when it drops into the 60's. But to be fair, it's all what you're used to.
Got down to 34 this am frost everywhere, people were complaining. None had an ice scraper to clean the windows. They had to wait to go to work until the car warmed up. it was fun. do not miss - temperatures

I lived in Langdon ND which is 15 miles from the border but you see where I'm at!
@aero3113 Not a bad price for a toy like that! Especially when it not only increases your electro-optic vision but adds FLIR as well. In DOD world you need to use a 50-100X multiplier.
@GMSLITHO Very nice! I had a good 10+ cords of wood to start this past winter. I've gone thru 2+ so far this winter. I have a nice 27 ton splitter. I get free drop-offs of logs (sometimes rounds if I'm really lucky) from a tree company. I'm in that phase of burning this year and probably thru at least half of next winter before I take any more though. Maybe I should start a topic of "Let's see your wood pile" . We have geothermal at home, but the wife loves the smell of the fireplace, so we burn as much as we can in the insert. Looks like some good oak there! My son would just shake his head no more if that was in our driveway (actually, he may be happy cause it was already split).
When we first moved in almost 7 years ago we had 17 trees taken down. I’m still burning that same wood and we use the fireplace about 4-5 times a week. I still have a lot to split also.
No blizzard this is so the supermarkets can sell bread and milk snow overnight and the roads are clear the next day
I use to buy the log lengths then cut and split,it was a great deal 500 and was somewhere between 8 to 10 cords ,now that 2 of my boys moved to Colorado that’s done I call and it’s delivered ,I usually have it delivered on the other side of the property but they couldn’t get the truck in so driveway was the only option
