    Ouch!
I'm enjoying leftover pizza and cold beer in the ice hut.

Do you take the tent down every time or leave it in place?

It would disappear in 5 minutes if I left it. I built a contraption called a "Smiity Sled" that I pull all my gear on and off the ice with. Named after a fisherman in Wisconsin (Minnesota maybe) but to be fair the Scandinavians had similar sleighs for years. This one comes all apart to fit in a truck. Probably 150 lbs of gear but pulls like butter. About a half mile out and back. That red bag on the left is the hut.

40 hours plus a week. But I work 10 or 11 hour shifts so only 4 days a week. And every second weekend so I get days off during the week. But I'm able to either string 3 days off together or what I call my "New Bride's Panties" schedule. On. Off. On. Off. 😆

@Willhound I bet you're glad you are ice fishing in Ontario and not in Ohio.

Mayor Craig Shubert of Hudson, Ohio:  "... if you then allow ice fishing with shanties, then that leads to another problem: prostitution."

Sometimes it gets really cold and you have to drop your friend directly in the fire 🤣.

Childhood friend came to visit so we burned our brush pile and drank some beers.

drove her under her own power today.  It was 20 ft forward and 10 ft backwards but she still did well.  No check engine lights so far.

This week I start on body work and getting the custom air conditioning lines going.  I need to get to top off for the body work (I'm going with a soft top) but it's 200 lbs of awkward fiberglass.  How much I get done will depend on when I can get extra hands over

Just give them a little time and they will get darker/richer to match the cabinetry… cherry is awesome. These pics of my steps were taken about a year apart:

Yep definitely need to replace the carpet with "wood" next.

Good to know about the color. I do like the light color but if it does darken then I'll get a wood floor to match the darker tone. 👍

I just screen shot the two pictures from the photo album on my iPhone… they were taken EXACTLY 2 years(5/31/19 - 5/31/21) apart… look at the top of each photo at the date. Same exact steps nothing done to them. Cherry gets darker with age… google it.

I did not know that....cool! I'm about to break down and buy them...they get so dirty and hard to keep clean...

One of the sharpest cosmetic change you can do. Even with the floor still in carpet these make a great difference, everyone comments on them. Color change - don’t think mine have changed since I got them to any great degree. About 6-7 years now, can’t recall.

What do you think the chances are, your sitting in FL having lunch and a 270 pulls up. I agree a 270 very small for the loop. You must watch the wind closely, before leaving the slip.
Remembering back getting to 2 footers with some 3,s. Close together. Not a fan, It handled it ok, but would not want to see much more than that.

We saw some 4 footers on Lake Simcoe in ours and no problem, tried to track sideways to the wind and throttle back with nose up and it was ok. I have had the nose of the bow break through a wave. But as I'm sure you know Randy the ocean is a totally different ball game. Don't know if I'd try it.

3 footers are not an issue on the 270.   5 footers, now we are talking, lol.

    mercury-news
Mercury Marine introduced its Avator electric outboard concept yesterday at the Miami International Boat Show. The prototype outboard represents Mercury’s next step in advanced technology and engineering. The company wouldn’t divulge estimated power output. One electric motor outboard engineer said that from the size of it the unit looked to be under 10-hp.
