Did mine a couple of years ago. Looked great. After about a month in the water, they looked dull gray again. Decided it wasn’t worth it for something nobody sees but me when I snorkel each week to wipe down the drives.
Agreed that the shine doesn’t last long @Spyderweb . Saying that, it’s not exactly “work” to spray and rinse, so I can’t not do them at the end of each season. It’s the easiest boat cleaning task there is!
Prop cleaning is about fuel economy, not appearance. Surface roughness = more fuel for the same amount of thrust.
The only question is -- how much do you save? If you drive a 600-foot cargo ship, there's plenty of data about cleaning props. I've never seen any for rec boats like ours, but it's a "small effort, small gain" situation.
I'm jealous of how nice your drive stickers are; new ones are like $250/drive! WTF?!
Yeah, I guess after 5 years the anodes need replaced. LOL! Not nearly as big of a concern on a lift. I had ordered some new ones a few weeks ago. I'll get them on over the winter. I also need to do a little bottom paint touch up in the spring.
I take the props off every fall. Saying that, there are threads on here where people have cleaned the props while still installed (I think @Lake_Bum was one contributor).
I take my props off annually for cleaning, then grease the splines before reinstalling.
I also inspect the leading edges for nicks or burrs. I learned that from a former SEAL commander. He told me their practice was to drag a strip of silk across the leading edge of each blade. If the silk snagged, the blade needed more work. If it works for SEAL boats, it'll work for my Rinker!

I didn't have the greatest results. And I never did remove them to do a full soaking. It did work a little however!
Looks to be ok thankfully. Will give it a good look in the spring. Just cleaned it up and stacked it nicely (with sheets between layers) in the v-berth for winter.
My boat had the old seawater pump housing back plates that were solid brass. They were scored pretty bad when I put new impellers in two years ago so I replaced with the new plastic back plates with the removable wear insert.

Plus you get that gratifying launch day photo op.
