Agree @LaRea , except they would’ve deleted the Canadian flag and photoshopped the American flag in 😂.
Awesome. Truthfully, things are so bad up here that I might start flying an American flag!
& everyone would think that boat is new. Hard to believe it is 16 years old! (I was going to comment about the flag too until I saw it on the next page)
Finally got a starboard side power outlet added to the cockpit so we can use our laptops at the table. Used a genuine Rinker receptacle box from GLS, $20.
Boat performs totally different this year - I don’t know what % to allocate to bottom paint vs the larger trim tabs vs the new dinghy lift but I am really happy. Boat pops up on plane effortlessly despite the dinghy.
I am having so much fun with this I may add a transom extension to see what impact it has. Fairline Targa 45 has this setup which would be very easy to duplicate:
350 E!C round plastic trash cans!! This is driving me crazy...the galley trash can is too small. In the cockpit, there is a much larger (longer) round trash receptacle.
I've looked on the site but really couldn't find an answer. Has anyone found a replacement for these plastic trash receptacles? The galley one (pictured) is too small and fills up so quickly. Would love to have the same size as the cockpit receptacle but searched high and low and cannot come up with anything.
Did anyone else find an answer or should I just give up and empty the darn trash every hour?
I installed my old AC unit in the cockpit in the space behind the port seat, hovering partially above the vacuflush. I installed the correct 30a breaker in the accessory slot below the existing AC breaker and power comes from the AC circuit.
Running the ductwork was a real bear. I did my best to get it neatly installed from port to starboard. My original plan was to run the duct above the poop tank/water tank but it wouldn't have worked out.
I replaced the hull side speakers just below the hardtop legs with vents and I will relocate those speakers onto the base of the hardtop. Currently only 2 outlets but I will add a third in the spring.
It won’t keep up to a big mid-summer solar load but it is perfect for bug free summer evenings. The heat got a workout this past weekend as well.
I spent about $1000 in total to get this done - $300 in ducts/vents and related supplies, $200 for a circ pump, $100 in misc cables/circuit breaker and about $300 for a thermostat and cable.
All that said, I wouldn’t have spent the money for a dedicated AC unit for the cockpit but since I had this one kicking around it worked out.
Built a collapsing backrest for the bow lounger. I don’t have @larea or @rando3113 skills but I think this will work. Would have preferred regular (not non-skid) starboard for the project but this is what they had in stock.
I will reduce the thickness of the foam in the cushion by 1.25” to account for the backrest underneath.
Any interest in this backrest? I had to make a new one because I removed the cupholders from the bow and had a new cushion made up with rounded corners, so this one doesn't work anymore.
I know for sure it will fit the 350/360, not positive on the 330/340 but if you measure the width of your bow cushion area I can confirm (obvi you could trim to fit).
@LaRea - lol, I saw your post. That is a great boat and a great deal!! We are going back to twin inboard flybridge. Will send along updates and pics if/when it happens
As much as it kills me, bottom paint is done. I did not sand so we will see how well it lasts. Two coats used the whole gallon while only painting the running surfaces when planing.
Also got the new (wider and deeper) trim tabs fitted.
Ok, so here’s the update. The bottom paint held up better than I expected. A few bald spots but I honestly expected to find no paint left anywhere.
Boat performed great all summer so I’m going to call this a win.

Any competent plastic welder could extend the existing can.
I use the cockpit trash can in the galley but honestly it’s a bit long. Somewhere in the middle would be a nice compromise.

Free if you want it, just pay USPS shipping.
We are now in shopping mode (which is fun)!

Marina did the torch work (fire risk reasons) for $140.
