Ring Camera Saved The Day

I got lucky and the folks at the factory didn’t properly caulk the seam between the upper hull and the insert that frames the door. I was able to run a 35’ USB cable from the camera down behind the cockpit fridge and then across and back up to the helm where I have a USB port buried (for charging the iPad). 

Very slick camera. Thanks again @aero3113 for the tip! I don’t expect any vagrants but it is nice to see the weather at the marina prior to a 2 hour drive!

Awesome @YYZRC !! Play around with the settings, there’s a bunch of stuff you can set. It’s nice to be at home and see how the boat is. I like knowing that it’s plugged in and shore power is on.

I went with the indoor version - not sure if there’s much different about it other than size and waterproofness but it is much nicer than my Arlo cameras. They are total junk. Ring responds instantly when you want to view a live stream whereas Arlo takes 20 seconds to sync.

I just had an AC company add some refrigerant to my unit. It was nice to be able to talk to them when they showed up and not be there.

So, the same marina neighbor that posted the message on Facebook for me just found these people on the bow of his Formula. I know it’s harmless but crazy for people to even think of doing that on someone’s boat without asking!!
