My list has grown this winter! I was upgrading the speakers and changing out those little courtesy lights in the cockpit now I've added vessel view and figuring out how to customize my dash. I also need to change out the barrel bolt transom door latch lock. Does anyone know the part number or size lock? I ordered a standard one online but it was shorter than the old one. It's the one that slides into the seat area in the back. I wasn't paying attention raising the engine hatch and the transom door was locked/ latched, and broke the lock.
Duane, promise me you'll remind us all about your light show before you go live this year. I'd love to find a way to see it!
i will be sure to let you know LaRea, making lots of changes for this year but you can see videos from last year on youtube. once on youtube just do a search for hearthstone lights. you can follow me on facebook as well. i do updates through out the year of things i am adding and when the lights will come on, as well as any videos.

It is listed on the Forum FAQ post at the top of the page, but here it is... Perko 947DP3CHR, size 5-1/4"
X 1-7/16"
BTW, we have all done it. I put a label above my hatch switch "Check Door" so I look back to make sure it is open.

Thanks for the pet number guys. Wow. Guess I'll bite the bullet and order that. I was excited when I found the one on eBay for $7, but then it came and was too small. Lol. I need to put a tag on the switch like Greg! I guess I was upset when I broke mine because the day before that, my wife had broke the key off in the cabin door. That latch was 100! Love this forum!
Yes, I keep a spare just in case the boat is to participate in a boat show. All other times I rely on a length of quarter inch wood dowel with a screw planted in the side of it as a breakable bolt. I have yet to break the dowel. I have broken many of the store bought bolt mechanisms. And I have straightened out the hinges a few times. And one does get better at managing the issue. lol
.....were closer than you think? .....close only counts in horse shoes?.....okay I'll stop now!.....the three of us will probably break that friggin' latch next time out :-(
We had a busy off-season with upgrades on my 310ec. Installed a cockpit tv, 6 JL'S, JL Sub, All with blue led ringsJL Amp, New Fusion Cd/Dvd head with 2 wired remotes, 8,00p lumen underwater lights, new custom memory foam mattress, and a new Big Orange Original Filter. Can not WAIT to get boating this year!!
@JBam67, when we ordered our 2013 EC 310 we chose the swim platform BBQ mount over the cockpit one. We had a friend with a Sea Ray that had a cockpit BBQ grill. Even though he had a custom made cover that surrounded the BBQ during grilling the grease splatters still got on everything. So, my Admiral said no way.
I know a guy who removed his cockpit grill, had a new corian lid made and installed a custom Ice chest in the space above the fridge. It even had an overboard drain.
I have seen that space used for other things, like custom storage or even stereo applications. I think my friend kept the original lid and BBQ for re-sale, although last I heard he was going to sell it.

Who knew I had something in common with both MT and Handy!? I've had two Rinkers and no broken latch yet. I did come close one time.
