Do you think the cockpit cover is going to blow off? And why is everybody down there running to the store buying out all the, water, battrie's, ratchet straps, plywood, food? generators, They should already have all that stuff. I do and don't even live there! There's a swimming pool in every other back yard. if using swimming pool water to drink, it is highly recommended to check it first for its chlorine level, and for even better safety, treat it prior to drinking by boiling it for 1 minute. This hypothetical discussion though presumes that you are without power, so boiling may be a challenge. Think, ‘camp stove’. or gas grill
If I remove the seats, the tubs underneath fill up with water
The tubs have drains in them make sure they are not clogged.
Mine dont
My boat is an 02 and your is a 03 you sure they dont have drains? Look at the bottom left corner. I am willing to bet that it is there but clogged so you cant see it...... Just say'n.

It may be a little east right now but the shear size of this storm will cover the entire state. Please don't underestimate it. Winds were just 185 mph. Strongest recorded in history.
I'm going to prop the boat up to lean to starboard, then tape plastic over the door. Or hook it up and get out. I'm 5 miles from the coast in SC - The Rinker might be the only home I have come Wednesday.
Handy, you're gulf side aren't you. Latest models show it heading up the Atlantic side of FL. Either way, many people will be effected. It's nerve racking.
Was about to book my flight for my annual visit with my buddy in Largo. He suggested we wait until we see what happens.....as in, will it still be there.
I cannot imagine people sitting at home in Florida, probably a nice evening right now wondering if they will have a home in 48 hours. @rasbury@Handymans342 I pray your homes are spared and families stay safe.
Thanks- we have been in our home for 30 years and have been through a few of these. We are not on the boss or low lying area- this will not be a Houston type event- homes/ buildings will be damaged and costal areas will get it the worse- and them we all get clobbered for insurance to pay for those tat want to live on the beach - anyway, I greatly appreciate your thoughts and prayers and hope all my fellow Florida folks make it through this ok. There are a lot of trailer parks and manufactured homes that will not hold up.
Spend all day yesterday getting my 290 ready. My boat is on a slip with a lift in downtown Tampa. I opted to drop the boat in the water and tie up to the floating dock. I also tied up to the top of the 4 post for the lift and left about 20 foot of slack in case the dock fails the post should hold the boat. I taped up most of the electronics cabin door, left the A/C running and the battery charger. Hopefully it is still in the same place and floating Monday night/Tuesday morning when I go check on her.
