here's today's project finishing the fridge and ice maker couldn't stand the black on ice maker it stuck out too much so I painted and clear coated to a matte finish and did brush aluminum trim but ran out of screws this sucks I hate going to home depot lol
how's the maneuverability is it easy to handle or does it feel like big tug boat and also do you think I should add a bow thruster??
I often slip my boat by myself, I find this boat very easy to maneuver. The wide stance of the twins gives you great response to throttle inputs. If the bow starts to swing a bit, a nice quick thrust of the throttle will get it to stop......of course in windy conditions, you'll need to be on the throttle more. BTW, I do not have thrusters.

Hey @javhav, isn't Wiarton Willie a Canadian groundhog? That guy has scr3w3d us up here in Canada a couple of times in recent years! Maybe you'd be better off putting your faith in U.S. Punxsutawney Phil. LOL
Awesome transformation you've accomplished on this boat! Your attitude is a great one, and I agree about the taking it one project at a time. Years ago, I bought a trashed out 86 Sea Ray that sat out through two winters with no cover. It took me 6 weeks, but I rebuilt the whole floor, doghouse (engine cover), put new carpet, and polished up the entire thing. I had zero experience and surprised myself.
Your boat is looking great. In just a few months, it'll be time to use it!
You are looking at $30k minimum for drives and engines. It has XDP drives, so they need replaced along with both engines. Overall, she doesn't look bad. Someone just needs deep pockets to get her running again.

To do everything top-shelf using commercial labor, probably $80k plus purchase price. Do a budget-minded restoration using a lot of self-labor, maybe half that, but you'd better have mad skills like @javhav.
@Cableguy Greg wished I came across this one first those drives are volvo ocean x very good drives they replace xdp so you save money there. Im pretty sure I could do that whole boat 15k to 20k easy

No that I look closer at the pictures, you are correct, they are the Ocean X drives. That's some savings there. I was blowing through the pictures and not looking that hard at them. My bad.

@rasbury how much would you think with the hauling you'd have to put in her. and that boat is literally down the block from my marine its 10 min away from my shop if I had seen this before I would have hopped on it plus I have two motors ready to go it would have been a nice project
