Teddy will spell the end of the season for a lot around here. Boats are being pulled already. It's aiming right for Halifax on Tuesday.

Yea, I could’ve kept her in a couple more weeks but I have the time now and decided to pull her. Considering how the summer of 2020 went , we had a GREAT boating season!

Hauled out Tuesday.  At least it was a nice day to do it.

We were planning a weekend out but a wild storm Wednesday about 4pm took power out and still off until tomorrow night apparently so I am hanging at home keeping an eye on genny keeping food cold and frozen with occasional heating of the house and being ready for when it all powers up. About 77 tomorrow too, was going to be at good day and overnight. :/

    Ian

Finished winterizing tonight. Just have to remove some pillows, cushions, tools, etc then it is going into storage Thursday night until mid March

La Rea is coming out next week.  That's a month earlier than normal, but I need to grab one of the few storage spots that is on pavement rather than gravel (to simplify some off-season maintenance).  In 23 years here, I have never hauled out this early!

Step 1 of the sad process - the Brig inflatable came out today. All cleaned and covered and put in storage shed, engine home to hand on stand. Holding out the big boat for another week or 2.

Drove by the marina yesterday. The new owner of our 270 had her blocked and winterized by the marina and even sprung for the shrink wrap, a $600 hit. She's gonna get spoiled, I'd always used a frame and tarp. Happy to see the new owner is looking after her though.

@Willhound - I think they made a movie about you a couple years back called The Intruder. Synopsis: "A couple buy a house in the country, only to realize its previous owner refuses to let it go."  If they find you cleaning the cabin we will definitely know. :D

Funny @TonyG13 you should say that. I once sold a snowmobile in pristine condition. Guy I sold it to left it uncovered in his yard for 2 years. I bought it back for half of what I sold it for, restored it back to pristine and sold to somebody else I knew would take care of it. Wife is always accusing me of becoming too emotionally attached to my toys.

I was wiping away the tears....
Just kidding. Although I already miss it I don't have any regrets. It was a good time to sell and it appears the new owner will look after her. There will be other boats. There may be a move in the near future and some family stuff to look after. So a good time for a break.

Awaiting haul-out.  Docked at Fort Belvoir next to a 360.

Add another V to the V in Virginia and that's where I'm from. Mt Vernon WA in case my riddle was to hard to solve.

That swim deck is like an outdoor patio. You could have a real festival on that thing.

Why isn’t that 360 on the forum?

It's funny how that picture does make your swim platform look HUGE!  Yes, it is very large, but it makes it look like it's a third of your LOA!  Crazy that I will be using the boat longer than @LaRea !  We had a nice anchorage this past weekend.  Two 400's and a 420!

She has been at Alexandria City Marina probably since new, and moved to Ft. Belvoir last year, but the owner keeps a low profile.  We've never met.

@Dream_Inn this might be the first time I'm out before you.  Although I'm excited about the off-season work, I'm not gonna lie -- the Admiral and I are both feeling a little down today.  I'll have to assuage my grief by ordering boat parts.   :)

Ha, yes she is 12 lbs of pure security!

Aero, that is a very high tech seagull deterrent :) scares them away from crapping on the hard top (and soft tops). Not sure why it looks like a mess there, maybe Wind shifts through the big tree behind us, looks like a calm day but it was blowing pretty good from behind:

@Liberty44140 , Do you feel it works? How is it attached to the antenna? Does it stay on while you cruise? Sorry for all the questions!! LoL
