Took a pic of our last Rinker today. Still looks good. Great design on those 276's.

@Grahamu - Have always been intrigued by this lock. Someday on my bucket list doing the Great Loop.

Question: The website says: "Lockage Per Foot: Single Lock and Return $0.95; One Day $1.60; Transit one-way $4.50"

What are the differences? Couldn't I just pay the single lock or one-day price which would be cheaper than just transiting (e.g., if doing the Loop)? How would they know?

The Trent Canal system is a controlled waterway with 44 locks. It takes a minimum of 5 days of non stop boating from Lake Ontario to Georgian Bay. A season's pass is the cheapest way to go and is based on your length.

I had some ballyhoo left over from our last trip south so i figured I'd give it a try on our fresh water inland cats since I can't keep them off of it in the bay.

Spent a FANTASTIC weekend in Annapolis with @Dream_Inn!  We both got slips at Annapolis Landing Marina.  Had dinner at Boatyard Bar & Grill with them and four other Rinker owners.  This morning, we hopped on their dinghy and went into town for breakfast at a little joint called Chick & Ruths.

On the dinghy, we saw these two boats ... just another day in Annapolis!  The one on the left is 147 feet.  The charter fee of $145,000 per week includes free wifi.   :D

Can I get a better deal without the wifi?
  • randy56randy56 Member Posts: 4,085 ✭✭✭✭✭
Well! it's a good thing they include wifi

Believe me, the Wifi charge is in that price!! A few months ago my boss spent $600k to upgrade the Wifi on his aircraft.

Well, I didn't take a picture, but I did have a Mai Tai in @LaRea engine room!  Man, the pictures don't even do it justice!  WOW!  I had to make sure I didn't spill my red drink on that nice white bilge.

I guess I just don't have the vision....it's hard to imagine that there are that many people out there that can afford 145 grand a week for a boat....let's buy one and see how much we can get it rented out?

Isn’t that era of Carver an ugly look?

I think if it had a window in that bow area it would look a lot better.

Carver boats are built for rich white women and Europeans who only drink clear liquor.

Here’s my “Pic of the day” - sweet cruising north on the Hudson River from RCYC to AlbanyYacht Club for an event. I am always impressed by the wake on this vessel!
