I doubt we'll make it another 300 miles south to Turks and Caicos, especially with how unreliable the weather is this time of year.  The wind will be howling for the next couple days, and again next weekend.  We might not get farther south than we are right now (Staniel Cay).

Spring didn’t come soon enough! It’s not a boat pic, but…I finally started removal of the old yellow submarine, that’s what the kids called it when they were little.  Now I need to get it done quickly so I can get to the boat in a couple weeks!

Lots of snow this year. I didn’t need a ladder to get onto the swim platform.

@Dream_Inn - Are you pouring a floor, or getting another 1-piece shower?  It's not too late to add some body jets all up in that joint!

This is just the spare bathroom. Redoing the entire thing.  No more one piece junk. I’m using all that great tile equipment I bought for a great price from someone 😀.  Once I practice, our master bathroom shower will be next.

Ruthless Charters. We had 5 fish on the boat (almost 6 but lost one bite).  https://www.ruthlessroatancharters.com/

Awesome! Was aware of them. Our friends who winter in Roatan hang out at Sundowners and the owner there runs a boat so went out with him. A great day on the water, but no fish. He was so upset that he didn't want to charge us for the day, just tip the mate, but we insisted that we at least cover his fuel and the numerous beer we drank......so everyone was happy in the end. Had a few hits but no sets on tuna and one barracuda that bit the leader off as we were bringing it in.

The colours of the day...nice! My moms vintage blue circa 1966 still going strong. The toilet tank holds about 5 gallons of water lol. Probably going to market in the Spring

@halifax212 Very nice!  Our master bath has that baby blue color in it.  It's tough to pull everything when it is clean and fully functional.

Yesterday, while crossing from West End Bahamas to Florida, I caught my first salt-water fish.  It was a 6-foot white marlin!

The weather was nice, so we decided to go slow and drag a lure behind the boat.  Nothing happened for the first three hours, then WHAM!  Now I understand why people love salt-water fishing so much.  We're guessing he weighed about 80 pounds.  Watching him jump and spin was an absolute thrill.

You should have kept that as a trophy! Tania said some nice tuna steaks in that puppy!

My buddy bought me a Marlin flag ... said I have to fly it upside down for catch-and-release.  But if I fly it longer than one day, somebody will probably grab it and nail it to the dock.  We have so much to learn ... we were prepared for fishing, but totally unprepared for catching!!   :D

@aero3113 -- veteran blue-water anglers will just smile and say "nice job man."  For me as a stone-cold newbie, it was like stuff I've only seen on TV.  I had a work conference call about 20 minutes later, and my hands were still shaking.    :p

But I will say that putting the swim platform down into the water worked out pretty well for getting the lure out of his mouth.  I cut the line and pulled the hook out backwards, with his huge eye staring at me the whole time.  He swam away from the boat which made me happy.

I noticed the platform down and was like, that’s going to help!
It’s definitely an awesome feeling catching a big fish!!
