I was reading that water in the fuel could cause a lean condition as well. I did change the fuel filters but before I did the plugs. It’s possible that was causing the issue.
I checked the two plugs that wear bad and they were both showing soot but all in tact no signs of burning up. I’m thinking that the injectors might be a little clogged. I bought some treatment, hopefully it will clear them up.
I hooked up my scan tool and there were no faults. I did notice that there was no block pressure on the port engine. How could this be, wouldn’t it be overheating? Could the sensor be bad (where is it). The Starboard engine was reading block pressure at 34.0 PSI. I also noticed that the temp gauge for the port engine is off and reads higher than it should. The scan tool on the port side showed 154 when the gauge shows 175. The port side always ran a little higher but at least I know it’s reading high.
One other thing I forgot to mention was that both engines showed fuel pressure at 2.1 psi at idle. I feel that’s impossible and they most likely wouldn’t run at 2.1 psi. Why would it show that??
Spark advanced is showing 21.8 on port and 4.1 on starboard at idle. I know that’s a big difference but advance shouldn’t be checked at idle and will vary, correct?
