@Aqua_Aura Looks like that area is prepared for some large tidal changes.

This floating pier in Paducah Kentucky handles spring floods up to 50 feet.  It's an impressive work of civil engineering.  Now I understand why there aren't a lot of marinas on this part of the Ohio River!

Wow! 50 ft is unimaginable to me here in fl

That would put a good part of Florida underwater!

We just did a road trip up north and a small town on the border Calais (US) St Stephen (CA) has a waterway with a 22’ tide when we were there on Oct 25. Flood prep is good and hope not needed, these guys twice a day!

It is amazing how rich some people become...or are given. If i could have had just a little mix up at the hospital when I was born...or maybe it did! Hey! That might be my boat!

We're in Columbus Mississippi parked next to this awesome beauty!  The owner was headed for the Gulf when he ran aground and wrecked the props.  He had her towed to this marina, where she has sat ... untouched ... for 15 years.  Every month, he pays the slip fee and the marina owner sprays for wasps.  Meanwhile the boat is slowly crumbling into nothing.  The VHF antennas actually have lichen growing on them!

I bet she was a nice boat 15 years ago.  Now you couldn't give her away.

    That’s too bad!
    I’d take that project on!

Hard to imagine paying to keep it in the slip for 15 years while  just letting fall apart

Wow.....what an eyesore for that Marina.  I would think the Marina would grow tired of looking at that eventually.

I'm thinking if I could get it free, minus shipping, how bad the little lady would scold me when it pulled into the yard???

Assuming it's diesel powered.  With twin gas motors I wouldn't be able to afford to leave the slip more than once or twice a season.

Hope no critters moved over to your boat. I’d have asked to be moved.

If the owner continues the upgrades, pretty soon the instrument panel will start looking like my boat.  :D
