I'm not sure that is an impact ... a single blade? You'd think at the RPMs that there would be some damage to the other blades, if it was impact.

Seems to me there a manufacturing problem. Guessing material has a hardness issue causing it to be brittle & crack.

The material is annealed so they can machine it & once done they heat treat to get the desired hardness. Guessing problem is either material defect or heat treat problem or some combination of both.

I saw this pic on FB and took a screenshot. Looks like he put an access panel in the platform. I guess you can utilize the space inside the platform and box it off. Hope it’s water tight!

Last night was our first overnight on the boat since I finished the LED conversion on the cockpit lighting. I'm happy with the results.

Chillin' with @Grahamu and Sascha on a bus touring downtown Toronto! (I learned that the correct way to say it is "Tronno".) We spent two fantastic days with them, including dinner 1000 feet up in the air at CN Tower. It's the third time we've visited them by boat, and we always have a blast with them!

My friend is working on a 65' wooden boat. We brought our boat down for the week to the marina he is at, Ilwaco Washington. This is our first outing since getting the boat buffed and waxed. It actually reflects the water now 😊
