Merry Christmas to you too Handy!  It is supposed to be mid 70s here today.  I actually thought about talking my buddy into a little xmas eve party on the boat tonight.  This is just really crazy weather.

I would love to be on the boat this weekend but promised the admiral we'd leave it alone until after the first...time to do oil changes and stuff anyway....

....way up North here crazy good weather. I could have boated straight through to today. Even with today's balmy temperature It was not a record for us, in 1951 it was warmer by .9 here!

Glad no one was hurt and no sled damage!  That oak will make some good firewood..got to find a plus from all that.

    Merry Christmas!

Like your thoughts BD!  I've been giving my wood splitter a workout lately.  I know this warm weather has got to change at some point.

Ouch on the tent there. Some good burning wood there. Maybe some cold weather and snow coming in a week.

    Al,

We had 6" of snow in central Iowa on Xmas eve day and sounds like we could get another 8-10" Monday. Maybe that system will come your way. I used to have sleds, but 2 low back surgeries have changed that hobby/sport, and when it snows I still get the itch. I see you have as good of taste in sleds as boats.

I used to go to UP or Northern WI once or twice a year for a week at a time. Agree about reliability. I know I'm getting off topic but trying to make Handy feel better. He might need to park a sled on his new dock and throw his neighbors for a loop. LOL

This is the first time I can remember not having snow that stayed on the ground. The scary part is that I have not seen the water levels of the St. Lawrence so low in the eight years we have lived on it. As well, the Great Lakes evaporate significantly if not frozen-over. I may have to buy a flats boat to go boating next summer :-(

OK, well I have an update: The inner transom fiberglass had a high spot behind the transom plate just like Raybo had on his 342. This is what caused the transom plate to crack. Must have been a mold issue at the Rinker plant for 2003. Also, my throttle cables were way off on both motors so the Injection pumps were not wide open. I have another 500 RPMs! Look out gassers! LOL

Sounds like the problem may be resolved. Good luck. I hope if it was a mold problem that it got revamped for following years.

I dont know if it was only 2003. I want to see if anyone else has had this problem besides RAY. The transom bracket can be cracked and not leak either Ras.
