@mattie Thanks on the table... No the drive lower end lost teeth in forward gears and reverse gears amazing the drive still worked they were saying so it was blowing oil due to metal going everywhere causing heat build-up.. I believe I inherited this problem as that drive was always noisy since I got the boat and always had an oil leak which I thought was the engine. Anyways the guys down by you Luken Marine who are the best as I hear at rebuilding drives mentioned it would not hurt to have drive showers. I got mine from Simrek the Halo Max. Piece of mine as I like to drive a little quick once in a while>>

Well after a week and a half the boat got polished mid-season. My Bravo 3 X drive got rebuilt and I installed the drive showers. The last thing was to install the table my son made me at school. I did add the cup holders @skennelly used and it looks really good. At least it got put in last Friday and we could enjoy for the weekend!!

Halon System
I removed my halon system over the weekend to pull the fresh water tank out so that I could add a drain to the shelf where the fresh water/poop/hot water tanks live.
This caused me to read into halon systems a bit. They're no longer offered due to the impact to the ozone layer but are still used in airplanes as there's no equally efficient/effective alternative. For boats, you are not required to proactively remove your halon system so long as it is serviceable. The halon gas is no longer produced so recharging a halon system is done with recycled halon.

When going down this rabbit hole, I also learned that 52% of boat fires originate with the batteries/electrical system:

My halon tank is fully charged and in great shape (no corrosion), so I will reinstall it, but I am going to relocate it to the port side of the boat near the batteries/charger/etc. As a bonus, this will help mitigate my starboard list.

Re: Pulling a tube
I got a proper harness (Airhead, I think) and connected it to the D-rings on the transom. It worked fine and no issues with the outdrives grabbing it.Aqua_Aura said:So how did you end up connecting the line to the boat?

Done and done, the two holes that we did not fill in and re drill were nice and strong. New stainless screws used as well

Re: Rinker 310 EC Swim Light switch?
@oscar1 I used IP67 lights and tapped into the cockpit light circuit as there are lots of extra connectors in the harness. Blue wire with black stripe.


I added a switch so that they are not always on with the cockpit lights.
