Re: Replacing spin latches on windscreen window/door (solved)

1. Grind off top of rivet
2. Hammer rest of it into window - carefully
3. Drill out with 3/16” bit
4. Use (in this case) 3/16” x 5/8” rivet
Windshield Double Latch Nylon https://a.co/d/eNedQ66
its on there tight. Did both of them.

Re: Stinky Shower Sump Solutions?
Mine is inline. It has an electronic float switch in the shower sump that senses water level and turns the pump on. The pump is a diaphragm pump and the water pickup is within 1/8" of the bottom of the shower sump. The pump itself is mounted in my engine compartment for easy access.oscar1 said:do you install the whale pump an inline or a sump box?earl1z19 said:I have the Whale Gulper set up in a remote pump situation for my shower sump. Its the best setup I have seen. The pump works well and is very quiet.YYZRC said:Ok, I've had it with the sump box. The stink continues, and for the third time this season, the float/pump hasn't worked and filled my mid-bilge with shower runoff.
I'm switching to the Whale Gulper 220:

I will update once I install.

Re: So what do we think about this for a liveaboard..

This is something I came across. Twin diesel inboards with diesel Genny. Old school, no electronics. I love the lines on these old boats, makes me think of the marinas back in the days of Miami vice.

Re: What did you do to your boat today
The admiral and I had a nice relaxing weekend just ourselves! Boat has been running awesome and we really enjoyed another marina's pool! Had some leftover Mai Tai (hard to believe) from Rinkervous and just chilled!

Re: Rinker 350/360 2007+ Random Topics
Not a great pic but on the right side you can see a bus bar with the AC power leads at the top and bottom. This is where the generator and the port shore power lines connect. The starboard AC lines didn't connect at the bus bar and instead ran right to the panel.

Here's a basic schematic of what I did. I disconnected both of the starboard shore power inlets and completely removed the Air Conditioner power line (only the panel breaker remains). For the main line, I re-routed it to the inverter's AC output.
I used the original Air Conditioning 10/3 cable and repurposed it to run from the inverter/charger input to the bus bar pictured above. When there's power from the port shore power to the bus bar, the inverter/charger AC input is energized and the inverter/charger charges the batteries (if required).

I am clearly not an electrician! I got a lot of good advice from a guy named Peter Kennedy. Several good articles on his site for stuff like this:
