It's more efficient as it doesn't use diodes which result in voltage loss. Saying that, I don't see any upside to the ProIso with my setup as I have solar to supplement the alternators for my house bank.
I just ordered two Victron Argofet to replace the ProIso. Boating season is too short to put up with shoddy products. Hopefully they send me a new ProIso that I can throw up on eBay and recoup my losses.

@GMSLITHO sorry, I replied but didn’t hit post apparently. About 2 hours allowing for slowing up for the boat clubs. Left Kingston City Marina at 08:40 and was docked at 10:40 at Coeymans. Passed 2 barges and pushers heading south and a bulk carrier ship heading north just south of Hudson.
