weather - losing my sanity

Boating aside this is the worst Spring / intro to Summer I can recall in my 41 years on this earth.

Marina is doing a Father's day beer tasting event.  It's set to be a rain out.  I want to put the boat back into storage where it's dry.

Same here, the wife ask if we were going boating this weekend. Nope! the Ohio river is up from rain's up east. Logs everywhere. Fast current. Seems like a repeat of last year.
On the map below, Showing water shed.  I live in the southwest tip of Southern Indiana, huge water shed . And rain on Saturday afternoon and Sunday.

We are getting it here in Texas too. My two favorite things to do, go boating and ride dirt bikes, have both been put on hold because of flooding.

I opened my swimming pool on May 1.  This past weekend was the first time I had to fill it a little bit (maybe 2").  Normally I have to fill it 4" every week due to evaporation.  Crazy.

Oh ... and I'm also wondering why the heck I have a pool right now.  Not only does the weather suck, it's also making a mess of my yard ... lots of work to keep things clean this so called summer.

Wow, opening a pool in Ontario on May 1st!  That water has got to be chilly in early May!

Sorry guys, but the weekends have been pretty decent here on the Chesapeake (not perfect, wind and some rain here or there, but can still anchor out).  Looks like mid 80s and sunny the next 3 days.  Although, long range looks pretty wet next week.

Agree. We go to the boat every weekend May - Oct with the only exception being immediate family weddings....which I complain about (should be a law against weddings in the north Memorial day - Labor day). But - I'm considering staying home this weekend. Winds up to 30mph, overcast with rain. We've been doing that for the last 6 weeks.

Fluke to you puke fishing tournament in RI. Sat. 30mph wind 62° seas 2 to 4 feet. Should be neat to see the tough guys bring in the fish.

Weather in Boston has been horrible. Today 55* heavy rain and 25 mph winds. Last weekend sunny inland around 75* on the water pea soup. Thick dense fog. So far this summer 0 boating days.

Seems we are all in the same boat.  Very trying times to be a boater.  Mine is usually in by May 1st. With my needed and wanted service, I am way behind.  I hope to have it in early next week. Just plain depressing!

It's about 55* here in Pittsburgh right now but water has been pretty decent this past week. We are planning to go out tomorrow and Saturday. Supposed to rain Sunday so will have to wait it out.

Florida is for boaters where we boat all year round. Now since @skennelly didnt hook up for a drink when he was only a few miles away he now has the curse of the Handy.

I wouldn't swim in it ... but it's good to get it going, clean it up.  And it looks REALLY nice. Better than looking at a hole full of leaves and brown water. LOL.  Thing is we sometimes get that really nice weekend in May, you know, the surprise 25'C day. I can heat the pool up for that one day and enjoy it. Then turn it back down.
