Holy crap Batman! That looks like FL, lighting capital of the world. We had a guy on a motor cycle killed, hit driving down 95 right on the helmet! God bless him but his number was up!

I think Detroit has something called the "Ford Fireworks" every year. Going on for a bunch of years. Doin' it just because I guess.

That said, Chicago has fireworks every Wednesday and Saturday from Memorial Day to Labor Day -- in addition to whatever other holidays or special events can get squeezed in with them. Brings in the tourists and their money...

We got caught in that weather today... We were at Davis Park, Fire Island and had to leave the boat and hunker down in the Harbor Store. The wind sheared the bolts off my anchor light/flag mount and took her away. Had that mount/light custom made a few years ago and just had that flag custom made with my logo on it(just installed the flag last week)... gonna miss her.

Wow...do those boats have regular hand controls or something different? You stand to turn around while docking...lose your balance and fall against the throttle? Poor guy.. sounds like in very serious condition...let's wish him well!

So went to the boat tonight expecting to see heavy currents and tons of debris. Surprisingly it looked really good. A few dock neighbors said the Ohio River looked pretty bad with debris but our river was nice. So figured maybe we can get out tomorrow. welllllll.....there was a chemical explosion about 1 mile from our marina and they are currently evacuating residents. Right this moment they are closing down highways and bridges due to chemicals in the air. So it was supposed to be real nice tomorrow but looking like we may not get to do any boating tomorrow either.

Well we had a pretty nasty chorine gas leak at a local plant about 1 mile from our marina Friday night and into mid day Saturday. They had a shelter in place and closed roads and bridges. Finally mid day Saturday they lifted it. The weather was beautiful but from the pics I saw you couldn't see anything. https://pittsburgh.cbslocal.com/2019/07/13/chorine-gas-leak-fires/

They finally lifted the restrictions but we didn't make it out. Went out today. Weather was perfect but only got 1/4 mile upriver and boat started sputtering again so hasn't been a good season at all for us.
