On the plus side, Great Lakes water levels keep raising. For the 1st time I can step from the dock even onto my swim platform. lol. No steps needed or ladder. I have slipmates with 3-6 stairs up to their boats to board. lol
Unfortunately have not been out this season. I get a pontoon shuttle from the road to the dock as our parking lot is 10 feet under water here at Grafton Illinois. The river is still closed to recreational boating
Been seeing reports of the Mississippi out of it's banks. For a long time. Ohio is not as bad as you have there. But it make's me want find a nice big lake.
Had a great Father's day weekend! weather was in the mid 80's and was on the boat Friday and didn't leave till I had to come to work today! Even got some time with both my kids on the boat! (heck, they even showed up with a wrapped gift I needed for the boat) Doesn't get any better!
Two quick stories of not-something-you-see-every-day.
We just had a storm with lightning, big thunder and pea-sized hail at my house. In Virginia. In June.
Right after that, we heard and then saw a red fox mauling a newborn baby deer about 100 feet from my back door. I went out and told him to quit it, and he reluctantly complied. After a couple minutes, the fawn got up and ran away, but the fox was right behind her. This did not produce a Happy Admiral!
Sorry, I had to laugh at the forceful "quit it!" We just got a hard rain, and of course the sun too. Really strange when it is coming down about as hard as rain can, but the sun is shining low in the west sky. I'd like to stick with this rain during the week, but clear out for the weekends (might start to make up for last year).
He listened! I have to yell at our foxes all the time. In the spring, they sit out there howling and carrying on all night. I have to open the bedroom window and yell "HEY, knock it off already!" It usually shuts them up for a little while.
We had a great Father’s Day weekend in Michigan. Temps were around 62-65 degrees. Slight amount of moisture. Just enough to keep the dust down.
Ah man now your talking! No better time spent than in the boat or on the trail.
You'll have to pardon my daughter and that weird looking, high fendered thing with four wheels, but if that’s what it takes to get her to go, I’m okay with it.
i actually just sold the orange bike and went off the deep end. I pre ordered a ‘20.

Oh and the rain can stop any day now. I'm sure some other part of the world would like it.
