Hey- wanted to point out as you start to use your air...you can generate about a half gallon per hour of water from the system which goes into your bilge so don't freak if that happens!

Moved that to the shower box a couple years ago! Thank you though!
Power cats are very nice and roomy. Youll see more than a few with plants hanging around the transom. What's the income threshold you gotta reach to have house plants on your boat??? Errr...yacht.
Is the marine ac line similar to a home unit and it's a gravity drain? If enough above the water line a small thru hull similar to a bilge or sink drain would be terrific. I dont even like the idea of a shower draining into the bilge. Maybe im just ocd for wanting to keep water on the outside of the hull.
Happy to report that 4 days in the water has resulted in NO water in the bilge.
There has even been some pretty big downpours.. Who knew these things weren't supposed to have water in them... on this boat it has ALWAYS had some water in it.. must have been leaking since the day I bought it.. would explain the awful smell that was coming from the bilge at first..
On a 270 the AC is right there level with the mid ship berth so yes..at the water line...not sure how to get the hose frome there to the sump...and how to connect it but routing being the main thing...it generates a lot of water!
@rasbury , does your shower sump have hose connections that aren’t open? Usually they have a couple of spots to connect to, you just have to drill the hole and connect the hose.
I had to turn the AC tray around I believe, I forget exactly how I did it because it was done while I was in the middle of an 8 hour trip... will take pictures tomorrow if you'd like.
