Checked on the boat today and found one of my vests deployed. I was thinking the shrinkwrapers pulled it by accident and I didn’t notice, but the lever was never pulled and it still has the green cover on it. How do you think it happened??

Isn't there a moisture sensor that will deploy it as well? Maybe it got wet.

There was a "RORO" ship going upriver in the background.

    Someone take a dip?

No! Way to cold. The day prior someone did fall off there boat while docking during the day and drowned. No one knows for sure what happened they just found him floating after the rest of the boats got to the dock.

That RORO was in the Port of Halifax a couple of months ago. Big ship.

@Aqua_Aura I can’t remember if these have that sensor. I do know the off shore ones that I sold do.

That first snow is like magic-everything looks nice. Then, you put your boots on and sludge through it.
Florida winter right on track. End of February (6 weeks) and we are kind of done with it. We are getting way to much rain after a good rainy season which is a bit worrisome.. st. John's river is full, near flood and I'm sure flooding real low areas.

Just for insurance to make sure that we don't get snow on Tuesday. I went out and fired up the snowblower to make sure it would start for me. You're welcome.

I put a whole house generator in about 6 weeks ago so we’ll have no power outages for 2 years…

Yes, I fired up my generator and snow blower.  Even got my 2 five gallon cans of fuel ready.  Had a light dusting of snow this morning as a tease.

well, my son got up (he is on winter break from school, lucky me!) & had my driveway clear before 7am this morning!  Only 4 inches of snow, but at least the snow blower got a little use.  He was heading back out to do a couple neighbor's driveways too.

I’m gambling this year… not even going to attempt to start my snowblower(unless absolutely needed!!). Put new tires on my truck and both wife/me have 4x4.

    FINALLY cold enough to skate!!
I didn't even bother to put up my rink this year ... when we had record hot temperatures in November, I was pretty certain the winter would be mild, and not worth the effort to put the rink up.  Next week we are going back to above freezing and rain.

I love living where it will never get cold enough to have an ice rink but I would love the convince of being able to hit up the back yard every night for a good hour of skating.

Our 10 game season for beer hockey at up to about 300 bucks.    We have a new rink in town that needs funding so there were no questions asked when my 6ft 165lbs 15 yr old signed up for the adult league with me.  So now I'm paying right at 600 for a 10 game season.
