The pattern of that carpet reminds one of raw fiberglass and adhesive residue.  Very avant garde.   :D

Now that you have the room, install another bilge bump back by the garboard. Or move the original pump and float back. I always wondered why Rinker installed them so far forward.

Yes I will absolutely do that along with drilling out and epoxy sealing the stringer holes.

Looks like an awesome project!  Great chance to make everything just as you want it.  Do the engines run?

Took the words right out of my mouth. There should be 2 (minimum) and I'd upgrade the GPH while I'm at it.

Also, what an excellent opportunity to clean up and reorganize the wiring and then repaint the bilge.

I got the aft cabinet out. Planning to replace the entire cabinet with the equivalent of a built in dresser to hold our bags. That said, really glad I removed it or I never would have found the rodent chewed wires including the bow thruster wiring which was completely cut.

On the bright side, the bow thruster works!

Good one - I guess the mice are working overtime as electricians!  Man, you are really doing a frame-off restoration on this boat.  So cool!

Behind the aft cabinet I found a captains log covering 2012-2021. Brilliant artifact that really helps me understand what had been done to the boat before it fell into disrepair.

Anyway, in addition to being thorough, the captain is also low key hilarious. An excerpt:

I'm enjoying seeing the pictures of what is behind all the cabinets in my boat.  (Hopefully no chewed up wires, but just how things are laid out behind them).
