    how much more did you have to cut to fit the 80 cockpit fridge?  I just replaced mine a couple years ago and really like the newer model.

    I'm going to move it to the port side. I've removed all the starboard side plumbing (aft sink, transom shower) and I'm relocating the freshwater inlet to the port side.

    The 80 is about 1.5" wider and about 4" taller. You have to relocate or modify the port shorepower breakers to make it fit, and obviously you lose the grab handle.

    I picked up the CRX-1080 for $450 + $150 shipping on eBay:

    It had some minor damage to the frame but I thought it was a good deal overall.

    So, my only issue with this would be weight.  So, if you like to anchor out (& use your shower), you will find out that as you use your generator, fuel lightens on stbd side.  As you use your head, it gets heavier on port side.  You will notice that your shower drain is on the stbd side of the shower.  I will sometimes run both motors off the port side if I know I'm going to have a long weekend and make a lot of use of the generator.

    We actually use the aft sink, but I understand if you don't want it.  Are you going to keep the aft shower on the swim platform?  & watch where you put the fw inlet, you wouldn't want it in the way going in/out of the doorway to the cockpit.

    Understood. I think the weight distribution difference in my case will be minimal. I run an 11 gallon water heater which would be about 120lbs full. My house setup is lithium so the batteries (port side) will save about 50 pounds vs deep cycle flooded, offsetting about 1/2 of the water heater.

    But most critically, I will be mounting my hydraulic lift on the platform to carry my dinghy (700 lbs), and the motor is on the starboard side. On my 350, I always carry more fuel in my port tank to offset the dinghy motor weight bias. Will likely have to do the same on the 390.

    I have removed the transom shower. It's of no use to me, just another thing to winterize. 

    Freshwater inlet moves to the port side (where the waste outlet is now). Power inlets also moved to port side (same as your 400). Waste outlet TBD (likely starboard side). Will be same setup as my 350. I use an Aquor inlet, totally awesome.

    Does this mean the waste tank will be on the stbd side? (so the waste hose will have to go across the beam)

    The aqour inlet looks great!  & yes, moving the power to the side is much better!  Not sure why they had it down below in the way, never understood that one.

    The original shorepower location on the 390 is insane. I would love to know who decided that and why. In the captain's log I found, the owner replaced the inlets 3 times in a 10 year span due to shorting out. Not to mention the trip hazard.

    I will leave the waste tank on the port side but the outlet might be on starboard so yes the waste hose would have to run across the firewall. I have it this way on my 350 with no issues.

    Fair amount of water leaking in at the stern end of the aft cabin. Pulled down the cabinetry and the vinyl wrapped plywood was soaked/rotten. Certainly doesn’t help that the boat doesn’t have canvas right now. Will try to track down the source. 


    Edit: the cabinets were held in place with 26 screws. No wonder Rinker went bankrupt.
