Man what a difference. Seen a couple of that ‘auto fetish’ guys videos. Good stuff. Didja wipe it down with water after?
Imagine it’s all the sunscreen & greasy handprints that the dirt is sticking to.

Man, I can't imagine not being able to use the boat yet.  I believe I've missed two weekends since the 3rd week of March.  At this point, it don't matter the weather, at a minimum we'll stay on the boat in the slip.  Hard to believe in just over 2 weeks we'll be on our first big trip of the year!

Dan I was all set to go out Saturday and when I got to the club it had to be blowing 30 out of the East and that is deadly for us. Water was coming right over our docks. It got real nice around 5:30 but too late. Too many scorpion bowls....lol Sunday was better but I had to go somewhere.

I'm in the "not-boating-yet" club. Went out in January, parked until May, did some work on it and then it's stormed every day since.

Switched out my 22lb Lewmar Delta plow anchor with the 35lb version on my EX370. Much better! Thinking about a Fortress Fx-16 10lb for the stern. Any thoughts? I’m on lake if the ozarks with mostly soft mud.

I just switched my plow anchor out for a Rocna anchor of the same weight.  I have an FX-11 as a stern anchor and it does great.  I put an FX-9 on my center console.  Love the fortress anchors.

Fortress is a great anchor, especially in that type of bottom.  Just make sure it is plenty large enough (can never have a large enough anchor, even the stern).

Hey Stodge, was is a Delta plow you replaced with the Rocna? Assume the Rocna is working better for you now???

Launched the boat yesterday, all good.

Before launch I replaced the SeaLand waste tank filter with a new Big Orange filter. Went in really slick. Recommend Big Orange product 100% - built in bypass valve on the BO filter is a great idea.
Also replaced the waste tank thru hull vent. Screens were blown out of the OE vent.

It was a Delta style plow.  I had a Rocna on my 280.  It's shaped like a shovel instead of a wedge.  I had very good luck with the Rocna before.

Upgraded the lenco trim tabs to the autoglide system. Definitely worth it! If anyone moves around on the boat, automatically adjusts. I always hated messing with the trim tabs. I also installed the mercruiser active trim that will take all the work out of trimming the drives. Everything was plug and play. I haven’t got the active trim programmed yet. Getting an error. Hope to figure it out this weekend.

Wow - post updates when you get some on-the-water experience with those systems.  I'd say it deserves its own separate message thread.

Lenco and Active Trim. Two of the best things on mine! I know you'll love both.

@jbschmalz23 - Definitely an interesting topic!  I'd be curious how both or either one would help with the larger cruisers as well.

    @jbschmalz23 , AWESOME !
I will reach out to you on exactly what I need to order after you iron out all the kinks. I'm looking at my checking account and I see a little wiggle room for these upgrades if I skip eating the 1st half of July  :D
and If it's just "plug and play" My mentality should be able to handle the install. Did you have a Certified Mercruiser tech do install or did you handle it ??
I am surprised our guy @Michael T  did not prepare our beauties with these upgrades for us :/  but I know for sure he will love to see the pictures and the results of performance.

Sorry, that's the universal, affordable one that works with both Bennett and Lenco tabs. Installing mine soon.

Just ordered new blowers, vent hose, and vent covers. Should have all been replaced last year but now that the blower motor makes an awful noise when powered on it has become a priority.

@McGarnicle care to share parts list and supplier? Looking at next maintenance item.

I installed that very blower a few weeks back - first trip on Sunday. I can't hear it running - I had to check the output to see. I also added a few of these in place of the white things: they look great and have lasted a year without any kind of corrosion.
