Today - finished cleaning drives ready to pain while waiting for tech to change CityID in port engine Got that done, fired up VVM and both engines showing data. Yay! Muffed and ran up engines to check out impeller replacement - all good, great flow. Power washed top deck and gunwales and hull. Power washed the engine room and drives Attempted to change waste pumpout to tank hose but no go - see separate thread I’ll post Buffed fully hull bow to stern below the rubrail. (Above rubrail and across the stern still to do)
Today Gave her another spray down then dried. Applied F11 to prior buffed lower hull First coat drive paint Cleaned anchor locker Put rode back in Buffed starboard side above rub rail
My 270 has one but be danged if I can reach it....good for spring line once your docked but no way to use it from the helm without standing on something...
@rasbury - It does amaze me with all the R&D that companies put into a product that something as basic as an easily accessible cleat is commonly omitted/overlooked.
The "official" mid cleat on the 310/320's IMHO is in one of the worst possible spots. Impossible to reach from the helm, or if accessing it from the fore deck, you come dangerously close to falling overboard trying to tie a line or fender to it. The reach is only for certified contortionists.
@TonyG13 going to do the same but with retractable. Soon.
Today:
Replaced the LED string under swim platform Finished painting drives. Buffed port side above rub rail and stern. All done. Emptied car trunk of stuff been using for prep...
Not up to @javhav standards ;-) but a $30 jar of Spectrum Color and a few hours of my (free) labor. Still have some sanding/compounding/polishing to do. Most importantly, the color matched perfectly...
Ugh. The only reason it happened was my daughter complained the lake was too rough for her and insisted I drop her off so she could walk home. One of the touch-n-go's by us has metal sheet retention walls with steel I-beam posts for tying off. They are supposed to have plastic protective caps - but of course most are missing. No wood, no pads. I was as careful as I could be with my approach, but as my daughter stepped off I heard "crunch." Even well placed fenders don't work for this place. At least it: 1. Only involved the blue gelcoat and not also the white. And 2. It's in a shadow area, so it's pretty hard to see using the "10 foot rule." Next time she's stays aboard and throws up overboard :-)
Yep...it happens. Mine sure has some ware on it....I guess if you have real good docks everywhere you go you don't get the marks...but just have to pivot on a piling because you have 30 mph winds to get into a slip....

After that that wiped everything down, put up bimini, flushed water systems, vacuumed inside, cleaned cockpit deck and put in marine mat.
