Hey, I don't watch sports, all I do is work, work around the house or work on the boat...I just finished about two hours of buffing...if I had a shop to pull it it, man would life be different!

Hey @javhav ! good to see you back. Was wondering if you sold the 342. Dash looks great! New steering wheel looks nice also. I just bought the same one to replace my old pitted one that came on the 330. I was hoping to use the Rinker center cap from the original wheel but they changed the design and will have to use the blank leather one that came with the new wheel.

Which wheel did you go with?  I was going to order Rinker OEM, $450.

    Autopilot controller?

@rasbury what it gets you is better situational awareness ... more complete knowledge of your boat and your surroundings.

Ah, just pay attention to what your doing....lol

It would give me a lot more confidence in the numbers I’m seeing.  I’ve seen how inaccurate mechanical gauges are.
  • javhavjavhav Member Posts: 420 ✭✭✭
@rasbury I hear you  but I  don't agree with you  first I removed all the gauges because only 3 worked and to replace all them would have been at least 1000$ so for 500 more i have real time enfo plus mechanical gauges are not as precise as digital and I can pull codes straight from the screens not waiting around for a mechanic to plug in to tell me what the problem even though I have the computer these are mpi not carb where you have two sensors mpi have multiple sensors digital is now and the future  I highly recommend digital gauges to anyone with efi or mpi unless you're still driving around on carbs

Add theses today after almost busting my a$$ and always hanging over the side trying to plug in my shore power now i can do it nice and easy
  • IanIan Member Posts: 3,060 ✭✭✭✭✭
Did you disconnect the others on the side? If not how have you isolated the feed from these to the pins in the other connectors?

I don’t know why Rinker doesn’t have them located there? My 08 330 has “shore choice”, a set of plugs on port and starboard sides. They should’ve done port side and starboard transom or vice versa.

@icoultha I disconnected the old side  one's then I spliced in the new ones
  • IanIan Member Posts: 3,060 ✭✭✭✭✭
Ahh, I thought maybe you kept both in the event you needed to bow in and couldn't get to the stern without extending the shore cable. I have thought about putting in a second set too but couldn’t find an easy way of isolation of the pair unused
