I would think it's basically the white nav/anchor light. Maybe only an issue if you have transom and anchor light on?

Cleaned my water strainer again. This is only from being out on the water Monday! I put a couple of pieces of a chlorine tab in, I’m thinking this if from what the chlorine killed off.

Ok everyone I think we need an announcement....NEVER DRINK FROM YOUR WATER TANK.

I would assume people already know this. 🤮

You can see how the chlorine killed the growth.

    Before chlorine

After chlorine added to the tank

Is it legal to run at night with the transom light on?
Yes, very legal. Some boats have and all around light wired so that when on with the Nav lights, it only does the forward arc. The rear arc would be covered by the transom light. I run with my transom light on at night.

My ice maker gets water from my tank. I flush and fill my tank all the time. I come from a camping back ground for years always flush and filled. Also do have cases of water bottles on board all the time.

I want to really clean the tank out. I’m hoping to use the ice. I wasn’t sure how I was going to like the ice maker, I really like coming to the boat knowing ice is available.

I changed the position of my iPad. I think I might like it here better. Up where I had it I felt like it obstructed som of my view. Sitting in the captains seat it doesn’t block any gauges or the chart plotter.

Why don't you just remove the old lowrance and put the iPad there?

After seeing everything you guys are doing to your boats I think this winter I'll treat my boat like it's on the stage wearing some clear heels. 😎

Thanks @rasbury , I think I cleaned/waxed the cockpit in November, I want to get another good coat on it.

I buffed all above the rub rail today and did a bit of cleaning of the deck. She launches tomorrow and old carpet come out and cockpit cover off (storage apparel!) and MarineMat goes back in and Bimini goes up.

Nice. I’ve never used that sun pad since we’ve had ours.

FYI I fitted a mount to the side of the captains chair box and a removable pole to allow us to have a table there, more convenient than back there. Can swap around as needed.

I drink from my fresh water tank all the time (mostly as ice cubes).  It's 100% safe once you get it clean and keep it clean.
  • Aqua_AuraAqua_Aura Member Posts: 2,702 ✭✭✭✭✭
Yeah I think the issue for some of us is getting it clean and maybe a little of keeping it clean. I need to flush the heck out of my system now that I cleaned the strainer.

My fresh water screen kept plugging with stuff similar to that. I'm thinking it was due to pink in the tank and it sat for 3 years. Or maybe it was mold and sat 3 years. Not sure but I stuck a shop vac in the tank and sucked it clean

Just went to local gas station that sells ethanol free fuel to get some for the boat. $4.10/gallon...ugh. Thought it might be cheaper this year with gas prices down. But our regular gas is back up to $2.27 now. Will see how much it is on the river maybe this weekend. In our 5 years of boating it has always been 4.99

Today was a triple. Switch covers, steps and the bonus sink insert. Thanks again to @diggin2day1 for the great work on the steps and sink insert.

Where can you buy those buttons? And how much does it cost for those steps and sink cover!?
