    The caps looked really bad today. Shocked they came back (got lucky) but knew they had no chance in OT.

    Marchand ... I truly can't understand that guy.  Spearing Jarry in the face, while being escorted off the ice for punching him in the head?  @raybo3 what's the local media saying about the suspension?

    Stealing a puck that Jarry was trying to give to a fan ... I can forgive that.  Sure, it's a d|ck move, but at least it's not dangerous.

    Marchand is getting killed by the talk shows and media. Stupid move by him. The thing that got him going was Jarry sparing Coyle. That is what started the jawing back and forth. I think for what Marchand did he should have been suspended but I believe 6 games (should have been3, I have seen way worse get way less than 6) was way too much. None the less he deserved a suspension and fine. Very selfish play.

    Hathaway has his history of bad hits, I simply don't think the one on Marchand was one of them. Marchand put himself in a bad position leaning forward and down while going to the boards. Being a player, you should know that's dangerous even in a no hitting league.

    Just the other day, I was one of very few here that said the Orlov kneeing incident deserved a suspension (I figured three games). I'm a huge Caps fan, but a bigger fan of ice hockey. I don't see the game through homer, rose colored glasses.

    Well, now that happened.  Ovi scored #767, so it's Gretzky, Howe, and Ovi.  Wish I could have been at the arena when that goal was scored.

    47 goals in 47 games?  Yeah, I'd say that qualifies as killing it.   :)

    Meanwhile, my Caps are loafing along like they'd be satisfied with the second wildcard.  I'm going to see them host the Lightning tonight.

    54 now ... tied franchise record ... still lots of games to go ... should be able to hit 60 goals this season.

    What a game!  We splurged on good seats, and they were AMAZING!!  Front row of section 214, right next to the cameras.  I had major lens envy ... that lens is worth more than my boat!

    @raybo3 -- it's definitely odd to see empty chairs in that place!  I think BOS and WAS are among the few teams that continued sellouts all through the pandemic (well, they limited the attendance for some games, but they sold every ticket that was offered for sale).

    Are you guys watching some of the crazy scoring moves that Trevor Zegras has been making lately?  I'm interested to hear what some of you hockey veterans think about seeing The Michigan used in pro hockey.
